CarrionCrow: Add a year and a half onto that, and sale burnout is definitely there. Would rather it be as fast a process as possible.
Well of course there is a sale burnout. Everyone has tons of games and in addition all the sale formats got changed to totally boring stuff that is not even worth talking about...
Good evening, lovely people of Fred!

How are you all doing this evening? Are you all enjoying your filthy DRM rental sale? :-)

*silly hugs and waves*

Right. It's too long, too drawn out. I'd be fine with GOG going the same route - put everything out day 1, leave it for a week, then call it done.

*big hug* Yep, enjoying it because I got the $0.60 prequel to Lumino City and I could ninja someone :D

That is nice. And I think they Lumino games are DRM-Free even on Steam, at least I know Lumino City is. I have heard a few people say that the Lumino prequel should really be free given the short length. Who are you planning to ninja gift with it, any victim in mind?

Are you having a nice evening?

*big hug*

Good evening. =)

Doing fine here. Just got ninja'd by a very generous lady with wings, now I have a really cool looking FMV murder-mystery game to play.

How's your night going?

Ah no, sorry if that was said in an unclear way. Bought Lume for myself, since Agent told me about it and I had fun with Lumino City. And well, I'd consider $0.60 as free ;-)
And yes, my evening is nice, how is yours? *more hugs*

I wonder who that sneaky lady with wings could be. :-)
I am glad to hear you are doing fine. Have you seen anything in the Steam sale you want?

My night has been good, I am not doing so good myself, but my night for the most part was nice, thank you.

No need to be sorry, it was probably just me reading things wrong. I hope you have fun with the game, be sure to let me know if it is any good.

And it is nice to hear your evening is nice, in fact that is great to hear, nice is better than normal and okay. :-)

I have been better, not a good day for me at all, but my evening was good, which I really needed.

*big return hug*

Well, might be a while until I play it. Hopefully I'll still remember this then :D But if yes, I'll let you know.
*big comforting hug*
Glad to hear you had at least a nice evening.

No worries if not, play it when ever you like, and if you forget you forget. :-)

Thank you. *big Lumino hug*

CarrionCrow: It's easy logic for me. Sale watching wasn't ever fun, aside from Insomnia. (Which is now a screwed mess of what it used to be, so odds are that's over.)
I started the thread because it wasn't the sale that was enjoyable, it was the people who showed up for them.
Add a year and a half onto that, and sale burnout is definitely there. Would rather it be as fast a process as possible.

Regarding the discounts, everything drops over time. Even the one sale format I did really enjoy, I've always known it to be an utterly silly, totally unnecessary meta-game designed to make people impulse buy more.
Well, I did like checking and finding the new deals. Like I said, it felt like a fair's raffle.
And since there was absolutely no community I'd bother to involve myself with over there (except maybe with a stick and a bio-hazard suit), the dailies were the only interesting thing in the sale. Hell I even enjoyed watching TB's review videos of the daily deals.
On the price tags, I suppose that's true, unless Bethesda is involved. Check the prices of the F3:GOTY and New Vegas: ultimate. They've actually gone up.

Same here. There are so many of them just sort of fluttering around, ya know? ;)

A few things, yes. Slowly making my way through the sale list, adding items of interest as I go.

I'm glad the night's been nice for you. As for the rest...-gives you a big hug while hoping things get better-

I think there is a very dangerous outbreak of Ninjas these days. And none seem to be Japanese. o_O

That is good to hear. Did you get anything you have been looking forward to?

Thank you. And thank you for the hug. I will be fine, just a lot on today due to a few things. And now they are stopping me from sleeping as well. But oh well, we all get days like this, so no point in complaining about them.

I just saw we have an early weekend promo here. Do we know if there is a reason for that? Not that I really care, I am not the biggest Telltale fan.

j0ekerr:
That's understandable. You liked the process. Nothing wrong with that.

That doesn't surprise me. While I continue to appreciate Bethesda being here, I still understand fully that they care for money above all else. If they think they can get an extra one dollar, or five, out of a customer, they'll do it.

FearfulSymmetry: I'm still kind of disappointed though. :P
Who isn't :P
