That quote sounds like a good advice...
avatar
ddickinson: Good day, Moon! *biggest morning hug*

How has the day been treating you so far?
Worst day this month. I want to go home and sleep until the day is over. But still some more hours at work...

I am so sorry to hear that. *big comfort hug*

I will stop with my silly quotes. Is there anything I can do to help cheer you up? I am quite good at making a fool of myself and being silly. :-)

*return hug* I don't think so, but thanks for the offer.

ddickinson: Another quiet morning on here...

Time for another random poem/quote, and this time something related to Valentines Day, becasue from reading your posts over the weekend, I know you love that time of year. :-)

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.” ~ C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
I kinda like that casket idea. -laughs-

Good morning. =) Have been killing time til update by slowly losing my mind playing Super Meat Boy.

How are you today?

moonshineshadow: *return hug* I don't think so, but thanks for the offer.
Well if you think of something, please feel free to let me know. I know how it is having a bad month. I mentioned before that mine was August, as that was the month when me and my friend were attacked. I always get horrible nightmares in August of the whole incident, mostly of seeing my friend die. I used to get nightmares all the time afterwards, but not it seems to be just around August time.

So if there is anything at all, even though I know there is little I can do, but if there is please feel free to ask.

*big rib cracking hug* :-)

Hello, Crow!

I thought some of you would like the casket part. :-)

I am doing good today, thank you. Nothing major going on, just regular work. I'm having to spend another week looking after my mother as she has had some reactions to the medication. I enjoy the time with her, but I get restless cooped up inside for most of the day.

How are you? Still torturing yourself with games I see. :-)

Thank you!
But I really think I should talking about this stuff. I feel really bad when complaining here, considering what you had to go through. Sorry

Please don't feel bad or think you have to be sorry. Nor should you think your problems are any less important. You should never judge your own problems by other peoples, after all, there are people who have it a lot worse than me. So please don't ever feel like you need to hold anything back or that your situation is not important. I am always glad to try to help, so if you ever do want to talk, here or via PM, then I am always willing to listen. I can't promise I will be helpful, but I would try. :-)

I'm sorry to hear about the stir craziness, but it's very caring of you to be there for your mother. =)

Doing okay here. The sale thing is a total pass (probably good since my games budget is effectively nonexistent at the moment), and I might end up going to sleep in a while.

As for the torture? I've gotten farther in that game than I ever have before. I want to complete it and then bury it.

Good morning. =)

Resist the urge to use burning facial hair as a heat source. ;)

That does sound cold. *warming up hug*

Other than the cold, how are you doing today?

I am so used to being out in the field and doing more physical work, that when I get stuck indoors I just get so restless and bored. But I will gladly do it if it means I get to keep an eye on my mum and spend some time with her, plus I get to spend more time on the forum with all you lovely people.

Well I hope you are able to get some sleep in a while. And not the kind that leaves keyboard impressions on your face. :-)

Good luck burying the game. Hopefully then you can move on to a more enjoyable game.

OK so far, still pretty early. ;)
I understand the 'stir craziness', can't wait till spring gets here.

Thank you. =) I'll definitely pass on the keyboard sleeping, that gets very, very old.

The good thing about the game - it's painfully hard, so I go back and forth, chipping away at it bit by bit in between doing other things.
Pretty sure I died about 400 times clearing two levels. That much fun, I don't think I could handle playing it to the exclusion of everything else. -laughs-

I'm not sure I would have the patience for that game. But then I have drifted away from platform type games over the last few years. I used to love them on the older consoles, but they just annoy me these days. Especially as many are just clones and poor quality indie titles. Not that there are not good indie games, but many are just terrible. I don't mind a game being challenging or me dying a lot, but 400 time would definitely be too much for me. :-)
