Yeah probably, if we could raise the money and find the right place we would go for it. Probably more of a cafe / deli type thing then a restaurant though.

Oh yeah I've made my fair share of somewhat awful dinners. Doesn't really stop me experimenting, just not with expensive ingredients.

I think while it was a small town and a corrupt organisation doing weapon research it was more believable (yes, it's a silly zombie game, but it have more of a believable feel to it back then), but once it started becoming global and having bad guys made of slugs (Resident Evil 0), then it just started losing all realism. Especially as those regular people from the first two games seem to become kick-arse commandos in the later games.

It's like most things now, games/books/moves, they all have to be epic end of the world type stuff. Often it's the stories/games/moves that take place is smaller more realistic settings that are more memorable and enjoyable.

The cafe/deli place sounds like a good idea, more diverse, which is always a good think in this economy. I know it's early days, but when you were thinking about it with your partner, did you think of a name for your place?

Experimenting with cooking is half the fun. But I agree, not usually with expensive ingredients.

Not entirely sure, but my surname is Cafolla and it would likely be an Italian deli so we might just go with "Cafolla's" or something similar.

But Cafolla's sounds great, especially as I don't think everyone will appreciate Forno Caterers. But what about the Irish part, why not MacCafolla? :-)

Maybe Señor Cafolla's, or something similar. It has a more personal touch to it, makes it sound more family run than just Cafolla's. But that's just me, I'm sure you would know more about that kind of thing than I would.

Yeah, we almost went with Forno Caterers for the van but decided against it...

We'll see when it comes to that point I think, it depends where we would open it too I suppose.

Many indie game developers have unusual names, so you could always call your game company Forno Caterers when you launch your game. It's sure to be a name that stands out to people. :-)

That was the tamest one. :P Of course they were being linguistically correct so you have to give them credit for that.

I have seen some of the other less tame ones, some of which are very funny, especially as like you said, they are technically correct names. But I still think some of them chose the names innocently, thinking there was nothing wrong with it.

As far as hilarious names go, this is my favourite. Slightly less tame than TinyE's one..

I can't help but think of the person who thought of that being the kind of person who restates the joke at every opportunity in an effort to display how clever they are, until everyone around them says, "WE GET IT. SHUT UP ALREADY."
