j0ekerr: That describes, pretty much the whole game. You're going to have to be a bit more specific.
Summon people, they want to help you and engage in jolly cooperation.

It's kind of annoying trying to figure out what the new deals are among that ocean of offers.
I've not tried summoning yet, as I so rarely do any multiplayer anything, but I think I will probably try it out in this game. That hydra is absurd. :)

omega64: Just omega is fine. :p
Nothing much.
Alrighty :)
Somehow this came to mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcEWtF2KzEw :P
And I'm off to work a bit.
Cheerio!

Actually the hydra is exceedingly easy once you learn its pattern. To the point I don't even need the rusted iron ring now.
Protip: Get close, .don't try to dodge, block with your shield and slash away at the nearest neck.
You've beaten the gargoyles? That fight is designed to force a new player to summon help.

I've died a few times just trying to run back and forth to let the hydra's water attack kill the golems that are hanging about, and once or twice have made it down to the shore where the hydra is, only to die immediately. I'll try just shielding up and heading straight for her, see if I have a bit more luck. I wasn't even about to try actually fighting the golems too... once I saw that the hydra's water hurt them, I just starting running around in a frenzy trying to get them all killed, haha. It's worked a couple times, but I never could follow through and kill the hydra after.

I actually did beat the gargoyles, and oddly enough, it was on either my first or second try. I think part of that is because I'm a sorcerer though, and being able to pummel them with ranged attacks made it a lot easier than I'd imagine it would be as a melee character.

ddickinson: I have seen a few being played, like Tharsis (which was a little too random for my liking), I have played the Park (very short, interesting, but short and not much gameplay). Dex is probably the only one to really catch my eye, and the others I have never played, so I have no real feedback on them.

Tharsis is an interesting premise, but it is a dice game, and it seemed way too random due to that (for me at least, you might love it). The story that I saw seemed interesting, but I bet it would be hard to get through it given how difficult the game is, which I guess is the appeal for some.
The dice thing puts me off a bit as well. It's frustrating when a game has potential but you're at the mercy of dice rolls just to see if you can progress further or not. I may check it out later down the line. :)

Dex caught my eye as well, and I grabbed it right quick. I'll probably give that one a shot in the near future.

There were some mechanics for holding on to dice, but for the most part it is random due to the nature of rolling dice. I don't mind some random elements, but the game for me was just too random with far too much put on random luck over skill. I am sure there are many that will love it, and I was interested in how the story would end, but it is not a game I think I would enjoy for the most part.

Be sure to let us know what you think once you get around to playing it.

Can't complain too much here. Another normal day in progress.

How was your weekend?
Has anyone of you heard about that:http://store.steampowered.com/app/489830/?snr=1_5_1100__1100 ?
So basically it's just the same game with new clothes....

Glad at least that it's free to any who own the base game and all dlc's... though honestly even for free, I'm not sure I'd play it again. I put in a *lot* of time with that one. But, who knows. Those are the perfect sorts of games to just use as an immersion sandbox, even if not planning to play through the story. So maybe I will. :)

But then why don't give it another texture pack or something like that...but because they want to release it on the current console generation it has to be a "new" game....i don't know if i'm going to play it again either...

Hey Crow :)
Why that grumbling? Do you even own the original?

My weekend was quite good, thank you. I got lots done, had a really nice time, and for the most part did not have too many health problems ruining things. I am suffering a little for it today, but it was worth it.

We even managed to play and finish Brothers A Tale of Two Sons, then played a little of The Evil Within and a few hours of Fran Bow in the dark, which I am really enjoying. So my best weekend for gaming as well for quite some time. :-)

Hey there. =)

Oh yes, I have the original. Played it for around 100 hours before I finally couldn't bullshit myself into playing anymore.

Grumbling at the general re-release garbage. More so in Skyrim's case because it's talking about being prettier, but nothing about bugs, or a shitty interface, or problems with combat, or magic being a joke compared to melee, or any of the rest of it.
But, it does have "you can get PC mod-type things on consoles". You mean console owners can now play a game that's screwed up enough that 99 percent of people feel mods are required to enjoy it in the right way now, you lazy greedy scumfucks? -facepalm-
