EndreWhiteMane: Morning all, doing OK here and hope all of you are too.
Drinking coffee and waiting to see if the rain will stop in time to have class this morning.
*hugs, waves, umbrellas*
If there's enough rain for them to cancel class I don't think the umbrella (corporation) will help.

ddickinson: Good morning, Endre! *morning hug*

What happens if the rain does not stop, will you still teach your class?
(Or is the class not outside? Sorry if you already mentioned this, my memory is not that good at the moment.)
The class is outside so the rain will mean we'll have to cancel. I have access to an indoor classroom for the afternoon classes but not the morning ones.
Glad you're feeling a bit better today.

ddickinson: Do you mean where one controls part of the body and the other person controls the other part of the body? We did that, and it was quite fun. But I am just not sure the whole game is for me. I liked it as a short little play, but I can't say it looks like it will be that fun for me. I imagine it is a bit like Goat Simulator (which I have not played), fun as a little gimmick, but not really as a whole game. But clearly you and many others like Octodad, which is great, I just not really one that jumps out at me.
Fair enough, the thing is with Octodad once you get used to the controls it's quite a good game.
Most of these kinds of games are terrible with terrible controls that make them worse.

Octodad is harder to control sure, but the game is quite fun.
(The first level is also the most boring level)

At least you tried it and that's good enough for me, not everything has to be everyone's cup of tea.

HDChocolateTeapot: Hi, is GOG better than Steam and if so why?

From,
Noob
Wohoo!
You've got a good answer already. But just wanted to add something.
From the point of view of your computer... Steam is a program that needs to be installed to play steam games, right?
So that takes disk space and memory and processor time, when every steam game is run along with the steam program...
There's none of that with gog :) ... not judging the Big Machine, I've got about 60 steam games. But there's a difference.

If you don't use Galaxy that is. :P
Galaxy is currently more resource intensive than Steam is.
Good moaning.

Just a quick heads up before I leave. I have stuff to do. Not to mention a birthday for which I have no presents for.

What do you get a 68 year old gal?

I honestly don't know, but I think I'll get myself some purdy lukin' dogfight-sim.

Aerial dogfihgts I should point out.

So I went by humble for a second. And what do I see in their store page with an 80% discount?
Why; the weeaboest of weeabo games, yeah that one.
I'll wait and see.

Shhhh! :P

But they are open about it - that's why it's called Beta... Anything can happen :D

by the way.... I didn't even know it's using more resources...
But at least you can always disable/uninstall it - and still play all the games, aside from the web-based multiplayers.

Yup, when you uninstall Steam...
It uninstalls all your games.
It was quite a surprising revelation. >_<
Will be leaving now.
Meanwhile I think I'm gonna wait and see what else shows up.

Almost forgot. What happens if you already own System Shock 2?

I don't know, it sounds like some silly excuse to get out of class. Nothing wrong with a bit of rain when getting your hands dirty. :-)
So what are you hoping for, sunshine and a morning class, or rain and some free time?

Thank you. I managed to get a few hours sleep and that does seem to have helped. Plus I think the medication is kicking in, especially the trial one I got for my overall health, so that is nice.

I did not hate the game or anything like that, I thought it was very nice and I can see why so many have fun with it. It was just not for me.

As I said, not everyone has to like/love the same things. :P

Good luck where ever you are heading!
I don't know - am in the same boat... Maybe we can gather all these extra Shocks and turn them into a Super Shock :P

In that case, when you redeem it, you'll get a gift code on your "orders" page. I believe it expires at the end of the sale.

I don't mind the rain but part of the class involves drawings and taking lecture notes, that's where the rain would cause a problem.
I'd very much like to have the class and it looks like the rain will stop in time. :-)

A giant umbrella? :-)

But I know, I was just being silly. I am glad that it looks like the weather will be nice so you can teach your class.
