budejovice: If what you were referring to was somehow fancy, then it is safe to assume I have yet to discover it. I have yet to discover smartphones! ;)

Even googling didn't come up with much, but a few references to Firefox, which I think you use most often. I use Chrome.

Nth fancy, don't have a smartphone either.

You know that you don't have to bulk-save your bookmarks, and that you can rearrange their order, right?

CarrionCrow: None on-hand, but it's a fun thought. Counterfeit bills and meth wouldn't do me any good, GOG only takes debit or credit cards anyway. ;)

Slept a bit earlier, then ran some errands. Have only been playing shitty games for a little bit today.
avatar
ddickinson: Do you decide to play a shitty game, or do you just pick one at random and see how it is?
With a few I know they'll be bad. With ones like what I'm playing at the moment, they turn out to be that way.

Hell, this game gets high marks all over the internet. Just reminds me to not trust certain people's reviews.

budejovice: I also just caught this. That's sad, ddickinson. :( *hugs even though I'm with some of the other folks re: hugs*
avatar
ddickinson: Thank you. You don't like hugs? Is that just guy hugs or hugs in general? *return hug*
I'm pretty close to adaliabooks and HypersomniacLive in that even digital hugs are kinda awkward, for whatever reason.

*nods at adalia & HSL from across the room*

I'm not a very touchy-feely kinda guy. IRL I do hug at times, but I'm not much of a hug initiator. I hug dudes, mostly close friends that I haven't seen in a long time. I guess perhaps I'm more receptive to girl hugs irl, but I still better know them. Someone that I just met an hour before hugged me recently and my pulling away was so noticeable it was probably rude. Not the intention, but oh well.

(I don't think this stems from anything traumatic in my past.)

Ooh, synthesis of drug discussion!

I have a generally bad sense of smell, due to smoking. But I can pick some smells out long before others. Meat or veggies that have gone bad. Toast. I eat toast, but can't stand the smell for some reason.

And methamphetamine! I can smell a tiny baggie of only residue inside a dumpster from half a block away. I grew up with that smell!

Punchline: my dad is a forensic chemist and ran a crime lab in the 80s & 90s. North Texas was ground zero for US amphetamine synthesis in the 80s (the biker method) and my dad wound up busting a lot of labs. He would always show up REEKING of phenylacetone, a key precursor. So much so that I can pick the smell out with ease all these decades later. :)

I see. I was just curious if you just wake up and decide "how can I torture myself today?". Of if you play one bad game one good game, or just pick a game at random and play it even if you know it is terrible?

Are you sure? There are many types of tough/strength: physical, mental, emotional. I would think they would be vital in dealing with such things and not letting them get the better of you.

But if that fails, how about because I'm a Celestian Battle Sister. :-)

*hugs* Any plans for the weekend?

Hello Crow. Long time no see. Doing OK?

I think for me it's either to do with my OCD or some kind of borderline autism.. I just don't like the thought of physical contact with most people.

Also I'm sorry ddickinson went through that and I'm glad the ******* got what he deserved. I Endre and Crow had it covered, but I would have been right behind them if they needed any help.

I think many people have an aversion to hugs. Many guys feel it is not "manly", many women don't do it because they don't like random guys hugging them, or they just don't like hugs. There is nothing wrong with that, although many will hug if the occasion calls for it, to not be rude or cause any offence. But as Moon said, I don't think people on here mean hugs in the physical sense so much, rather just a term of warmth and greeting on the forum between friendly people. A bit more personal than just saying "hi".

So since you do not like hugs, *hand shake* :-)

I am helping my father cook a meal and give my mother a surprise Valentines meal tomorrow. Then in the evening I am having a romantic meat with my partner at home. Sunday is my day off, so I will probably just spend it having a nice time with my partner and enjoy some time away from work. *hug*

Hi folks, I hear my evil twin was here earlier. Don't worry though, I've killed him and this is the real me who (hopefully) doesn't suck on sneakers for a hobby.

Has everyone seen this yet?

Hello Endre, the good twin. :-)

How are you feeling? I hope the battle with your evil twin has cheered you up? :-)

Not really....well, not usually anyway.

I've bought or rented a bunch of stuff, and I refuse to let my money go to waste, so I play what I have, whether it's good or not.
Fortunately, I have no doubt that there are far more good items than bad, so eventually the shit pile will be done completely. =)

Hey there. =)

Yes, doing all right overall. Just finished off another game, so that's good.

How are things going with you?
