How's your day shaping up?

About the same as yours at the moment. Agent has me beaten in the human broil event, but not by much.

Beyond that, it's going to be quiet, if slightly stressful. Goes with the territory when everyone else is gone and I'm keeping an eye on everything myself.

The heat tends to make my cat and dog easier to care for. Once in a while they get up to eat/drink/pee, the rest of the time they sleep.
All I have to do is keep the water bowl full and poke 'em with a stick once in a while to make sure they're alive.

That works. The heat knocks the energy out of them.

Around here, it's two dogs who can't be allowed to run around on their own, so they have to be brought in and watched just in case they find trouble to get into, one who goes in and out as they wish.
Along with that, there are five cats who expect to be let in and out a hundred times a day before they finally run out of energy. The sixth sleeps at least 16 hours a day, displaying the most energy when she hisses at her own children. -laughs-

I made a little 'pet flap' in a window for the cat. Sadly the dog needs supervised or on his chain when outside.
He gets A LOT protective if another dog comes in our yard. Boxers have very small teeth but he's not afraid to use them. He takes Get Off My Lawn! to the next level. :-)
