superstande: Argh... people are trying to tell me all babies are difficult..? :)

Sure. It's best to think carefully. Probably would mean bye-bye to many things, for a long time.
-laughing- Yeah, pretty much. One of the many reasons why I've avoided helping spawn one.

Yes it would. Pros and cons. Have to figure out if what you're giving up is worth it.

Not necessarily... if you have twins or triplets, it's more challenging, of course ;-)
But I never said bye-bye to my hobbies. (I said it to ironing clothes though... or wiping the floor every week... that kind of things, yeah ! lol) ^^ all is a question of priorities. And you can't be happy if you say farewell to everything you like... all is a matter of balance :-) (and a bit of organization, too !)

Smannesman: This trailer of Mighty No. 9 doesn't seem to be going over very wel.
Much like the rest of the game. :P

EndreWhiteMane: Doing OK here, had some pretty big rain storms last night but no damage that I can see.
Just waking up and having coffee, sounds like you're having a productive day. ;)
*big hug*
Wow... your rain storms sound more impressive than ours :-)
Maybe it will cool down the atmosphere a bit ?...
Yes, my productive day is over \o/ ... i can relax a bit, have a warm drink, and prepare myself a bit for my appointment at the psychologist :-)
**big productive hug**

Ta ta ta... you don't have kids, you can't know !!! ;-P hihi
(we sound like the little devil and angel on Sup's shoulders... hihi) :-D

AgentBirdnest: Wrong. So, in that case, if Omnibus doesn't show up today, I'll be pissed that GOG customers are once again get second-class treatment.
I have nothing good to say about how I'm doing today.
What exactly is wrong? Corpus Christi is a public holiday in many catholic countries ;)
I expect that to show up - because that has a pre-order and it merely needs to be unlocked....
Would be great to see other games getting released here nonetheless (especially since Gearbox showed up as a listed company)

I'm sorry to hear that you're not doing good today :/
avatar
CarrionCrow: Pretty sure it's bad on both sides, just in different ways. ;)

What comes to mind is that you already work quite hard, with two jobs going, and your wife is undoubtedly busy as well. Along with that, dragging around an infant would probably put a crimp in things like having a 4 week vacation travelling.

Most of the people here are not in a situation to give you relevant advice on whether you and your wife should have a child. You need to talk to people in a situation similar to your own, or a counselor who specializes in this type of advice.
I went through parenthood many, many years ago and loved it, but since have had little involvement with kids and loved that too. I'm easy. :-)
My only advice would be that the sentence "Let's have a baby, it will fix our marriage." is in most cases 100% untrue.

I've seen enough. Just because I can't tell you exactly how it'd feel to shove my face into a running lawnmower, doesn't mean I can't imagine how bad of an idea it is. ;)

superstande: Hello, sir! :)
Thanks for the tip. The first shop I'm looking at (also a one that delivers) has Moto G3 fo 179€. Lime green. That's a nice colour :) Hmm... This might be good. Have to think about it. I mean, Motorola made the Amiga chips too :) MC68000 and so on...
You're welcome :)
I don't own it but i know people who have that smartphone (might be an older iteration though) and they're quite happy about it. Good thing is that Motorola usually uses nearly-stock Android on their phones - you probably won't suffer from much bloatware on it :)

CarrionCrow: I keep trying to break my night owl pattern. It'd be very easy to screw it all up, but I don't want to.
So it's caffeine all day instead.
Good luck with that - it surely pays off when you manage to break it :)

I would probably die of exhaustion with triplets :)

Ah, but thank you very much for the advice :) ... balance and organization! :)
And there are always relatives to try to get to do some babysitting. Probably would have to get real good at things like persuasion, bribe and outright threatening... :P

"Mom, happy birthday! ...So you'll be home soon? Good - We left a small 'present' at your door. Look after it will you goodthankyoubye!" - and we're off to China :P

Morning all, I was too busy butting in to other peoples business to say hello. :(
*hugs, waves and happy rained on plants*

Now, where's Agent? I want to keep picking on him till he isn't so grouchy. ;)

Alright.. Yeah I didn't mean to push the responsibility of choosing whether to have a baby is a good idea, to the fine people of the thread :) ...And it's really just talking now. And there are lots of things to talk, and we'll probably have more time to talk during summer, with lots of people, so... that's what it is, just talk. For now :)

And yeah that sentence sounds like bad drama coming up!

AgentBirdnest: If the only release that we get today is Omnibus, I'm quitting GOG.
(kidding)

*good mornoon helmet tip* (I think I did that once this morning, but nobody was around, so... there it is again :-p)
*goes to send gog support mail titled 'URGENT MUST RELEASE GAMES TODAY'*

Good mornoon, Honorable Birdnest!

Doing OK here, had some good rain last night. Sadly the heat and humidity is back.
Rain chances now every day for a week or so. In other words wait and see. ;)
You surviving on no sleep again?

Hopefully it's rain, rather than that "it feels like it's going to rain all the time, but doesn't, so now I sweat my ass off if I so much as breathe wrong" thing.

Yep, one more time. Not my intention, though. Ended up dozing here after the power went out. (And dozing here is actually worse than no sleep at all, I've found.)
Sleep is such a massive pain in the ass.

Fairfox: My weight-loss has plateaued and I'm maintaining! Now I'm 'only' 1.2 or-so under my lowest healthy BMI figure. Admittedly not great and I'm not really gaining, buuut... better? I'm (just) over the technical anorexic level, anyhoo.
You're getting there. That's a very good thing.
