Freaky Fun Saturnal Day!

I can recommend Zak. Just because there's a game with a dude called Zak. And the humor is a bit more out there than... well okay Monkey Island stuff is also pretty wacky...

Happy Weekend, Sup :-)

I haven't played either. My vote for wackiest goes to NOLF, but since it's not here, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People isn't too bad. Neither is Jazzpunk, in a really different, quirky way.
And we're at page 52 hundred.

Dayum. This is one large thread.

Welp, agent, thanks for all the suggestions. And I'd probably follow more than a few of them, if my wallet wasn't already crying in a corner.

As it is though I'm still interested in the stable bundle. I have 2 of the 5. What are those add-ons like?

Ok, so after reading a couple reviews on the other stuff. It doesn't look so hot.
I think I'm more or less done.

PS: I've managed to play Dark Souls online. It only takes about 40 minutes for the nodes to start connecting. And 20 minutes to wait for a summons.
PPS: Who the hell tries to fight Havel head on?

With Fire and Sword adds guns... which is cool, if you like guns. It was fun to shoot stuff, but I never got very far in it, because I always got shot pretty quickly in return. Napoleonic Wars is a multiplayer mod - it might be fun if you can get 63 friends to play, otherwise it's a typical multiplayer game of morons, assh*les, and as Trump would say, "some I assume are nice people." ;-) Haven't played the Viking one.
edit : Missed your edit :-p
edit2 : The general advice I hear is to go with Warband only. There are enough mods to make the other addons (which are based on mods anyway) pointless.

j0ekerr: I'm pretty much omnivorous, except for Diablo-styled ARPGs I just can't get into that genre.
Which is funny cause I have at least half a dozen of them.
And I kinda already have fear.
That's the problem with being a somewhat picky eater and having amassed a not-insignificant library.

AgentBirdnest: Well, I'm no RPG expert, ARPG or otherwise, so I won't say anything about those...

In the FPS category, I think Blood is the best really old one (back when shooters still used sprites) but Outlaws is quite fun too, from what I've played so far. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a fantastic middle-age shooter that I'd recommend to anyone. It still looks decent and feels smooth, and is a fun all-around game. The STALKER games are great newish open-world shooters - Shadow of Chernobyl arguably has the best atmosphere and story of the series, but is quite buggy without mods. Call of Pripyat is quite polished, and I thought had the best overall gameplay.

In the strategy department... I've not played too many here, but Act of War wasn't too bad. A lot like C&C Generals, but a bit less casual, and more tactical. (I think I've already talked about this one with you :-p) I also see Heroes of Annihilated Empires on sale, which is a lovely fantasy RPG/RTS hybrid, but some missions might feel a little bit ARPG-ish. But other than that, I haven't really played the others in the sale.

For adventure games - I always bring up Wadjet Eye :-) Blackwell series for the best story and characters, hands down. Resonance is also a great choice - it has a fairly good story and some cool characters, but it also has really great puzzles (my favourite puzzles of any Wadjet Eye game.) And of course, there is a collection of LucasArts titles that are universally acclaimed, but I haven't really played yet :-p

Other stuff...
Blocks that Matter is a nice puzzle/p[atformer. A great head-scratcher about collecting/placing blocks to get to the exit.
Morrowind will keep you busy for a few months/years.

pimpmonkey2382.313: Pretty good, supposed to thunderstorm here today though. But couldn't play icewind dale Enhanced I got from the community give away at all, though found out they're now including the classic version which should play on this lappy.

AgentBirdnest: *hands Pimp an umbrella* ;-)
Hm, that sucks :-\ ... At least you'll have the classic though.
The enhanced edition would crash out at any moment on any menu, so I couldn't even get to playing on it. lol So I'm pretty happy it comes with original.

What does screaming because of falling have to do with hugs?
*confused hug* :P
But nope, haven't played that, not really interested in the concept.

It's called a "kiss" if you get close enough to a building in the game, and a "hug" if you stay next to it :-p It was the first "indie" game I ever bought.

How about Alcatraz 1954? That's seems like a more interesting concept :-)
Morning folks, hope you are all well.
Just a quick hello/goodbye before work.

Ah alright *big hug*
Well, I have 1954 Alcatraz, but I'm not really in the mood for these type of adventures right now. If I decide on playing an adventure it will be Myst-like.
