*big encouraging hug*
I am doing good, thank you. The sale is nice, a little slow, but still better than the last Insomnia sale I think. Nothing for me though so far, probably only one game that is a slight consideration, but that is about it. How about you, have you seen anything you like?
*more hugs*
Yep, a new bundle every three hours might be more exciting. Or two new bundles at once. :) I've only seen a couple of things I'm vaguely interested in and those were still too expensive, so I haven't grabbed anything yet. That's okay though, since I still have loads of games to play.
*sparkly hug*
But since it's me I'd probably accidentally kill someone by dropping a crate of beer on heir heads, and then where would I be ...

Not playing 4 because of its rich narrative. Got it because it's regarded as one of the best of the entire series and I hadn't ever played it.
Some people have sticks up their ass, to put it mildly. They endlessly seek out things to squawk about.
I wonder why they do not sell the original games on Steam? I guess they don't want people to play them and like them more than the newer ones as that would go against their plans of driving the series into the dirt. :-)

I thought at first that it was two bundles at a time. Every 3 hours would be good, but i guess that would mean putting double the games on sale which might be hard to do. I think we all have lots of games to play, but that does not stop us adding more to our backlogs :-). Hopefully there will be some games for you before the promo ends, maybe even a few new releases that you really like.
*big return hug while enjoying all the sparkles.*

They couldn't get away with charging 20 apiece for the original games, especially with their every chunky part and pixelated section showing on HD monitors.
Let's hope. You don't need more stuff to get stressed out over.

They could bundle them and charge 20. It is not like it would be much work for them as they were already on the PC. I very much doubt there will be more Resident Evil remakes as the last one that was well received was just a port of the GameCube remake. If they were to remake one today they would ruin the whole game and make it more CoD like. i do wonder though why so many publishers don't release their older games to make some profit from them. Are they scared people will see all the effort put into the older games compared to now, before it was about games just looking pretty over actually gameplay and content?

That's why I've been trying to collect it.
I still think that corkscrews are the perfect tool for that. Maybe a couple hundreds more tests?

I think some people just take games too serious. Maybe if it was more of a serious and political game, but it is a game about zombies, I am pretty sure it is supposed to be some silly fun.
That is a nice excuse to get drunk. Hopefully they will take it elsewhere soon so you can get some work done. Shall we contact your King and ask him to change his birthday until after you have done your work? :-)

I was reading that in a Mexican accent after reading your comment about the game using Mexican instead of Spanish. Granted it was a very stereotypical Mexican accent, you were even wearing the hat. :-)
I have not played the game, so I don't know how racist it was. But given the drama people like to make about the smallest things I would not be surprised if it was something minor. But then again I would not be surprised if it was quite racist.
You might like Dark Souls then.
Actually while at first glance it might look to be lacking in terms of a story and background, there's a surprisingly large amount of it. It's just that it's hidden and subtle, you only ever see hints of it, and vital clues are only featured in the background info of equipment you collect. And still, you only ever get bits and pieces of an incomplete story which you're supposed to complete yourself.
That might sound like lazy writing but it's actually not. In fact it's the opposite. The bits that you do see form a coherent shape. It's only that some pieces of the puzzle are missing by design, for you to fill in however you like. It works brilliantly.
The second one is a mess though.
Wait, some people need an excuse for getting drunk?
I'M ASTOUNDED!

Well polite people tend to like an excuse to get drunk, everyone just goes out and does it. :-)

But that'll be a graphical update primarily, I think.
They could do that, but I guess they figure updating the graphics is more worthwhile, a better way for them to keep making money off the old games.

That's it. I'm not looking at the infected peasants in 4 and thinking I shouldn't be killing so many Spanish people. It's more along the lines of how to wipe them out before they kill me.
The problem arises when none of those happen.

Heh, pretty much the same for me. I already have quite a few bits and pieces of the bundles. The only thing I'm mildly interested in are the Cthulhu games.

Capcom keeps screwing up by way of attempting to stack broken shit on top of broken shit on top of even more broken shit, to the point that anyone who's played the games for years can't avoid it anymore.

There's too much re- in general. Remakes, remastering, reimagining. It's all bullshit talk for going back to the same well to make more money with minimal effort.
As for Square Enix, they're totally using Final Fantasy 7's original legacy to make new stuff that they aren't brave enough to do otherwise. But even then, they aren't going to change things substantially because they'll get the same backlash if they do.
Square Enix can't afford that. They've screwed up too many times now, eventually they will go under if they keep fucking up every big project.
Personally, I'm not really going for it. I only got 4 because I never got a chance to play it anywhere else. I haven't bought any of the other remakes, and I don't intend to. I don't want to reward them for going back to the same crap endlessly while they screw up their new entries.

Okay, gotcha. ;)
I only wear them where no one can see me.

In another order of news, I despise energy drinks, but I had one this afternoon because I felt like I was going to leave a me-faced dent on the table otherwise.
And as I was feeding the coin slot I realized the damn thing costs more than the Cthulhu games... separately.
Which I meant to ask about, what are they like?

That is very true. It is a mixture of lack of originality and creativity, and them being scared to take risks and using the safe options to keep the investors happy. At least with indie games we do still see some nice and original ideas, although indies are getting more and more like AAA developers all the time.
Square Enix has been doing that for ages now with all the spin offs and things. I think they are making big changes (such as removing the turn based combat, new characters, altering the story, etc.), and it is going to be an episodic game as apparently making a game on that scale is not possible today as a while games. I don't think they are too worried, it will sell no matter what, and gamers are more than willing to support publishers and developers who make rubbish, just look at how broken virtually all AAA games are, and each time the customers go back when the next game is out. As long as gamers have more money than brain cells the developers have no reason to make an effort.
That is a good attitude. I still have the older ones on the PSOne and the GameCube, so at least I can enjoy them still without having to give Capcom more money for the same old stuff.
