CarrionCrow: Escape Goat

budejovice: I rolled through a bunch of this, then got stuck on several levels. I need to figure them out, because EG2 was a gift from my Secret Santa and I need to get into it! I looked for some walkthrough documents that I could print, but I assume most hints are going to be found on youtube. (No connection at home...)
Well, here's the thing. Escape Goat is essentially two very different games in one.

There's the standard game, wherein it's puzzle-platformer with the puzzle part usually being the predominant part.
After that, though...

After that is All Intensive Purposes.

All Intensive Purposes is an additional 36 levels where it's about 85 to 90 percent platformer, and the difficulty level for some stages is high enough to rival Super Meat Boy in their sheer desire to murder you endlessly, break your spirit and make you quit.

Additional - That's just fantastic....

If there isn't one that says "When we make love, I'm wishing you were a pigeon.", I'll be tremendously disappointed.

adaliabooks: That's a good question. I think there's probably a few ways you could look at it, one would certainly be staying true to the original (so in this case no modern words would be a plus in that regards) but I think you could also argue that when translating an ancient work you could be not just translating it word for word into a modern language but also making it more readable and understandable to a modern reader, in which case using modern language may not necessarily be a bad thing.
Depends what you are looking for from the translation I suppose.
You have a point there. Making a work more accessible and understandable is something to consider, but the words/ terms and structure used should be chosen very carefully. Ancient works, at least Greek ones, have a certain poetry and atmosphere, and it's quite easy to lose them during the translation, even "ridicule" if not done carefully. Then there's also the human factor - translating while also interpreting what the author of the original work "wanted" to communicate or "meant" is a danger.
Generally, I'm for staying true (or at least as true as possible) to the original work while making use of the tools of the translated-to language to convey not only the words, but the atmosphere and beauty of the original work, while avoiding personal interpretations.

Those pillowcases remind me of why a lot of people see Japan as nothing but wall-to-wall unpleasantly weird shit.
Must resist the WB and the upcoming weekend sales .

Perhaps an answer to the new generic avatars.
Sorry to keep mentioning this, but we are reaching a new level of pathetic here. I've been up since early this morning hanging out in here. I've probably made approximately 30 post in 15 different threads and in the past half hour someone has meticulously gone through and negged EVERY ONE of them. :P

Do you realize the kind of patience and perseverance that takes!? He's like a Zen Master of being an asshole. XD

This guy even hit a post I put in a necro thread in a gaming forum that hasn't been touched in two years. He must be using a tracking system or something.

How do you know the posts are being -'d? Can you see that in the thread?

Have fun :)

I think I might play some Lords of Xulima myself. Trying to understand fluid dynamics and erosion, and it was difficult enough but now I'm a little drunk and chances of any of it sticking are slim...

So bugger that for a game of soldiers!
Give me hugs! NOW! Plz?
Also, where's Owl senpai and DD senpai?
