Good day folks, I assume everyone's drooling over the WB releases?

j0ekerr: Yes they are, specially the hot pants wearing nambla bait boy.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Well put. ;)
I have graphic proof of their perversion.

The best part is the hunched over Igor-like position of Robin. I've always though he was saying something like: "Mathter, I have foundth a pool full of nubile young boyth for you, ath you requethted."

j0ekerr: By the way DD, it's obvious you have a profound dislike for Mrs Rowling. But I have no indication on your opinion of Sir pTerry.
I like his books. I prefer his older work, but then I generally prefer older books over the new stuff written today. It's a real shame that he has the early-onset Alzheimer's disease.

And hi DD senpai and Owl senpai!
Hi, l0rdtr3k! How is the day at work going? *hug*

Good day, Hyper!

Any new games catch your ever-seeing eye?

Not really, I'm drooling over this however.
Gotta catalogue somethings later and then take care of some equipement.
Still learning the ropes.

AgentBirdnest: Looks like I'll be buying F.E.A.R. for a third time.
One of my favorite shooters of all time...
avatar
ddickinson: I agree. It's just a shame how they ended up spoiling the franchise and making it just another mindless shooter.

I used to own it on CD, but that was a few years ago. It will be nice to have a play again.
I enjoyed F.E.A.R. 2, as long as I completely dissociated it from the first game. I thought it was a terrible sequel and a bad horror game, but a decent action game on its own.
I have nothing good at all to say about F.3.A.R.

I have never played F.E.A.R. 2 or F.3.A.R. (due to DRM). I did not hear good things about either of them, especially the third game. I don't understand why the developers would remove what made the game great and just make another standard FPS. But at least the first one was good and that's the one we have on GOG. I think that when I buy it later, it will be my first new game this year, except for that time Endre gave me worms (thank you again, Endre *big hug*). :-)

I know how that can feel, having a tiring job that you enjoy. It's good to hear that you are enjoying it, it's always nicer working at a job you like, rather than one you hate.
You also sounds like you want to get hugged again.

If I remember correctly, the owners and management changed, and several developers left.
F.E.A.R. was originally published (or was going to be published) by Vivendi. Sometime close to release, Monolith was bought by WB. Several employees either left or were promoted to higher positions at WB.

Absolutely, I do! *really big hug*

I remember reading something like that. It seems to happen to many developers. They get bought out by a bigger company and then the games go from great to horrible. It's sad how many good developers end by being destroyed by a big greedy corporation (Westwood, Blizzard, etc.).
OK, I lied. I squeezed Batman onto a CC. Just couldn't resist the urge to play the Penguin. :-)

You just couldn't resist seeing Cat Woman in all that skin tight black could you? But you do know that it's not Julie Newmar in the game? :-)
