zeogold: MK and Street Fighter? Dang. Those require literally hundreds of hours of practice before you're even halfway competent. You picked the wrong ones.
Divekick has no such steep learning curve. It even evens the playing field so that newbies can take on pros and eventually win a round or two with enough work.
omega64: Mortal Kombat was fine, I liked playing the Single Player. :P
Street Fighter 4 didn't even give me a tutorial though.
Was I supposed to watch videos to get into it? O_o
I'll get Divekick next time it's on sale.
SF4, no, you literally just have to figure out how to play with time...it took me almost a hundred hours (I've played somewhere around 300) before I figured out how the EX focus is supposed to work, and at that, I STILL don't really get how to properly use it (I'm not really fast enough to/good enough at combos to either). And on top of that, you've gotta become intimately familiar with each character's moves, and remember exactly how to pull them off.
It's...not an easy game.
As far as Divekick, don't bother waiting. There are two copies on my giveaway, and it's only available on Steam anyways. I'll get one over to you if you're interested.
