Goor mornights, just a little heads up here.
I've been using paypal so long that I forgot how cards work. Or at least how some of them work.
I will not go into details suffice to say I went to check something I wasn't happy with. That something, I feel ,is also a terrible secuirty risk that I strongly suspect is there by design.

You see, I suspect that limitation is there to trick their customers into falling into a trap that will cause the bank to charge an interest over a "service" provided.
Which is appalling, but it's also how these bastards do business.
Makes me want to burn the card and their offices really.

No, actually there is something:

When I wrote that "SOS" in the night from Saturday and Sunday the thread had been asleep for 4 hours. Still within a few minutes I had forum replies and chat messages being empathetic and trying to help.

I can't really express how amazing that is. And it really helped me to feel less alone and scared until my RL relations managed to call me back. It really brings tears to my eyes to think that out there in the great big world there are people who I've never even met in person and who still care.
When you look at the news and stuff the overall impression is that the world is for the most part a cold and cruel place. But things like this make me feel it isn't so, at least not only. I'm of course busy with my own problems right now, but when I had the time to think about that night I can't help but being impressed how much warmth and empathy are out there.

Thanks for showing me! That of course goes for all the amazing people who wrote to me here, on the thread or in chat offering a shoulder to cry on and advice and encouragement. I wish I had the time to answer you all individually.

I've just told a mutual friend from way back about the death of our friend (it had taken a while to get a hold of his phone number). That was tough and painful. At the same time I could feel it helped to further the sense of realization of what has happened and "dealing with it". This afternoon I'll probably meet the dad of my friend (his mother doesn't feel up to coming to town). I guess that's going to be hard too and I wish I could turn the clock to make it happen right now...

Coffee? No thanks. I just had a few Red Bulls. Drove to New York. What's the big deal...

Yes... talking about your friend's death must make things more concrete... that's not easy... but a necessary step if you want to move on... Good luck with your friend's dad this afternoon... I'll think about you...

It really sounds silly to say that places like this thread can restore one's faith in humanity, but it's absolutely true. There are some amazing hearts out there in the world, and that's something that can be easy to forget sometimes. This place helps remind me of that constantly. :)

I am good for the most part. Warn out, in a lot of pain and feeling terrible form pushing myself a little too much, but other than that I really enjoyed my morning.
