EndreWhiteMane: Not enhanced no, only a few hours in. The original I've been through (sloppily) once.

CarrionCrow: Okay, I was curious. I think it's the same as the original Baldur's Gate 2, where you can either import your characters from 1, or do a new character if you want.
It's supposed to be but a couple of the reviews say that doesn't always work too slick.

CarrionCrow: Like I said, a lot of bravery involved. =)

I would suggest just in general to at least try the originals first before going in to the EE versions.
There are less options, but if you're new to the games that's not necessarily a bad thing.
That is what I figured. Thank you for the input.

ddickinson: It's okay, I am getting used to that kind of thing as games seem to require higher and higher specs, even when they look like they should be able to run on a toaster. :-)

You can't really blame GOG is some ways, especially as they have to support all the games here. And despite the complaining, I would rather have GOGs curation than Steams open door policy. Many of the games they turned down that people complain about I think deserved to be turned down for one reason or another. But I know others would disagree.
Well that particular game looks really cool....seems like a slightly cartoonic art style.

I'm not blaming them - usually they turn down games for good reason and i definitely prefer the curated approach over the steam way of letting nearly everything in.... but there were apparently some cases with games now on GOG that were turned down initially because GOG wasn't certain about their potential - which is fine from a business standpoint but which might hurt in some cases. That said i guess that there are still enough people willing to wait to get games here than earlier elsewhere

I agree, I was mainly referring to those pixel "retro" games that look like they were made decades ago but have higher specs.

I wonder if the benefits outweigh the negatives. Yes they lose sales initially, but if they take the risk and the game is terrible, they are stuck supporting what could be a broken mess of a game, which could cost them more in the long run. Not to mention the DRM-Free issue, meaning that refunds are treated more carefully due to possible abuse or unhappy customers, so if the game is a let down they risk more refunds, or message to support about refunds. But who knows.

And I forgot to ask how you are this evening, sorry about that. How are you?

I already assumed that :)

True. That might be a reason for a behaviour like that. Saves them from release debacles....but as you said: who knows :)

No need to apologise for that - i'm still doing fine. Bit tired now but i had a nice evening with one of my oldest friends visiting and playing some co-op games :)

Oh and the same question goes to you - how are you?

That sounds like a nice evening. What games did you two get to play?

Yes it certainly was. We played some Splinter Cell Blacklist and some Lego games (Lego Movie Videogame and Lego Marvel Avengers) :).

Alright. I think i'm going to sleep now. I wish you all a good night and take care.

Have a good night, sleep well. =)
I think I will be calling it a night as well. My partner has a lovely surprise planned for tomorrow so I had better try to get some sleep so that I can enjoy it. And at least I got plenty of notes done for Sunday, which saves me having to do them tomorrow, so I can just relax and have a lovely day on the morrow.

Goodnight to the lovely Americans, and anyone else still awake. I hope you all have a lovely rest of the day and a really nice weekend.

Thinking that Doom 3 is much longer than expected. This one is refusing to die...

But is it good? Sure seems popular.
