Too gullible :-p
Don't make fun of my colleagues, you !! >:-|
Hello, lovely people of Fred!

How are you all on this lovely evening?

I don't think I will be able to get any sleep just yet, so I figured I would make some notes ready for Sunday and chat to you lovely people until I finally feel tired enough to sleep, or at least tired enough to try to get some sleep.

*hugs, waves, and flapjacks (the oats kind, not the US pancakes kind)*

CarrionCrow: I can't remember if I slept well or not. =)

Okay, glad to hear it's not driving you crazy, at least.

Nothing out of the usual planned, no. Games to beat, stuff to do, all the day-to-day things.

Anything interesting planned on your end?
Haa... yeah, that makes sense.
Does any of your roommates play video games too ?... :-)
Err... I don't know yet. I'll have a hopefully quite peaceful saturday, between work and owlets care... i'll be around in the evening... and maybe we'll go for a walk on sunday, if the weather's not too bad... but nothing too epic :)

moonshineshadow: Ah no, I'm home. But it was nice that I did not need to bother with that during the day :D
*big hug*

Empress_Owl: So, you don't share your food, and you don't like April fools ! hihi :-p
What are you going to do if I say I don't like cats? :P

Good evening. =)

What are you working on for Sunday, if you don't mind my asking?
*waves* Just wanted to let anyone who was tracking that we arrived home safely at just after 4:00 a.m. The drive went decently well, with no stops for road construction, surprisingly enough. Today will be a finish-catching-up-on-work and finally-get-games-downloaded day, I think.

ETA: Three stars! Woot! (Also, GOG finally suckered me into buying the EEs of the D&D games. Stupid awesome discount.)

Not really. One doesn't play games at all and the other would be so lost with something like, say, Baldur's Gate, I would essentially be playing the game for them.

I hope so too, that you can have a nice, calm weekend, whatever you might end up doing.

-waves back- Happy to see you back and hear that everything went smoothly on that long-ass drive.

-laughs- That is a very good discount they're offering for the EE titles.
This should be interesting, the possibility of a bunch of thread people all playing the same series at the same time.

Good evening!

I do mind, stop being nosy. :-)
Sorry, you know I am only joking. Me and my partner are doing some talks at an abuse centre for young ladies. The centre offers help and support for young ladies who have suffered abuse of one form or another and a fried of ours who works there has asked us to do a few talks about a couple of topics as I used to work in a sort of similar place, and also a few of the topics are on things that me and my partner can relate to so hopefully we can offer some help for the poor girls, even if only a few of them. I just want to make a few notes for it all, I was going to do them tomorrow but since today has been less than lovely (with the exception of my lovely evening) and I can't sleep, I figured I would do them now.

Anyway. How are you? Did you get the new DLC releases? Are the Enhanced versions any good compared to the originals? I have all three of the games in the original version, but does the Enhanced versions add anything that should make me want them over the originals?

It's nice to know you are there safe and sound. And congratulations on your much deserved three stars! I hope you manage to have a lovely weekend, a nice and relaxing one after all you have been through.

-laughs- I kinda figured you weren't being serious.

I remember you mentioning that previously. You and your partner are brave to do that. I wouldn't do well with just the public speaking part, let alone the public speaking combined with sensitive topics.

Can't complain here. Picked up some stuff, but I already had all the Baldur's Gate items, older and newer.

From what I've seen and heard, there are more classes and options for characters in the EE versions, and some new content as well.

If you don't have a huge interest in the games overall, you could probably pass on the EE versions unless you want to play the new expansion. That one requires the EE version of Baldur's Gate 1.

I don't really mind it. The whole thing is bringing up memories I wish they wouldn't but it will be worth it to help. As for the public speaking part, I have never really had a problem with that. I have always been good at talking to people, even big groups of people. It never really phases me, although talking about sensitive topics on such a personal level is always difficult, especially as you know that many you are talking to have been through so much hardship in their lives. It can be sad, but worth completely worth it, a bit like the volunteering we do at the childrens hospice. It is so very sad, but worth it just to see a smile on their little faces.

Well I have never played them yet, although after a recent talk with you I will try Icewind at some point this year. So I think I will pass on the Enhanced version as it does not really seem to add a lot of difference. it kind of feels like a fan mod that they are charging form. :-)
Hi, people.

It looks like I'll be ending my involvement with the forum for a while (not that I've been around much as of late). Life priorities have shifted and my full attention needs to do the same to keep up. This isn't farewell, but it feels right to let the old hands here know what's going on instead of simply disappearing. 2-3 (?) years of fun and games with good people deserves to be acknowledged.

I'm once again downloading my entire collection (H and counting...) so I'll be online for the next week or so, but after that I'll only be keeping an occasional eye on updates and new titles.

So there it is, a new era for me to get to grips with.

Keep well GOGfolk, keep playing games, keep enjoying each other's company, and say/do something silly at least once a day to keep yourselves sane :-)

For the time being, this is Stilton the Viking signing off...

That is very sad to hear, but you do what you feel is best. It has been wonderful chatting to you here, and you know we will be here to welcome you back if you ever return. You will always have friends here.

I wish you nothing but the absolute best with your new era, I hope everything will go just as you hope and that you have a wonderful life.

Take care, lovely Mr Viking.

*biggest hug for the loveliest Viking ever*

I see - that's the post you've mentioned. I'm sad that that you're not going to be here for anymore but but it's the way life is going.
I hope that you might show up here again eventually at some point in the future but for the time i wish you all the best - and take care.
