This is a good time to mention it really is beautiful here today.
I always bitch about the snow and cold here and I don't want you fine people to think that's all I do.

I just saw this.
That's good to hear from a real comic book / Iron Man fan. He (personally on screen) always seemed to completely embody what I thought of as "Iron Man / Tony Stark" - I'd have a hard time imagining the character as anyone else. So it's nice to hear from a true fan that he hits a nail on the head for his rendition of the character.
And I remember watching an interview with Samuel L. Jackson (he must be a comic book fan) where he essentially said he saw Nick Fury and was basically like "Holy shit, that's me! Get them on the phone right now and tell them I HAVE to play Nick Fury if they do a film." Which I thought was pretty cool.
And thanks for the pointers on DD. I like the idea of a town management angle. The fact that I'm not a huge crafting fan (I like it in games, I DON'T like it to be a huge major focus) makes me stick with my original thoughts that despite some interesting bits, The Pit might not be for me.

Yup. having a good weekend. How are you doing?
Just bought some games from the promo and realised that my shelf is now two short of 300....O.o...:).
I'd forgotten just how large the dungeons are, how many dozens or hundreds of enemies each one has, and how much management there is for a 6 person party.
Think I spent half an hour just distributing loot, deciding what to keep and sell after I cleared all of the last dungeon without going back to town in the middle. -laughs-
What did you end up grabbing from the promo?

The town "management" in DD isn't really in-depth like an actual management game - I don't want to give you the wrong impression about it. It's maybe more similar to HOMM, although I've only played the first one, so that's not a definitive statement. You get various buildings/shops/racial settlements/etc. as you play that you level up that give you different options/bonuses.
Now, for something completely different... I've had this song stuck in my head since yesterday. I love Vintage Trouble, and this song, but eesh.
I do recommend that people watch/listen, if only because they're such an amazing band. We were lucky enough to see them at the Magic City Blues festival in Billings, MT, a few years ago. They're one of those rare bands who actually sound better live - and they're pretty awesome on their studio recordings. :) (In fact, here's a concert video.)
Note: The video is possibly on the NSFW side, in that it features a sexy woman dancing in her underwear. Also, if you pay attention to the lyrics/video, the spilling milk/milk bath probably counts in the same sort of way. *g*

I bought Dragon Commander, The Ball, Quest for Infamy and Vertical Drop Heroes HD - still thinking about Megabyte Punch (a think i'll pass on Desktop Dungeon and The Banner Saga for this time - so i put them on my wishlist).
Do you got anything from the promo? Or Transistor?

I'd be amazed if it isn't behind a log-in wall on Youtube as adult material, but if you don't mind the hassle and want to see a video that would probably get someone straight-up fired for playing around the office, that one will certainly do the trick.

The first IWD still has the abysmal pathfinding from BG1, right? Or is there a way to "upgrade" it to BG2 level?
