idbeholdME: Although I think I understand it now. The one through Twitch would activate only Prime Gaming and only for 7 days. The Amazon Prime itself (the one you get on the Amazon site) is the main one and includes all other "Primes" (Gaming, Video etc.) for 30 days
Quite confusing honestly.

bluethief: The bold part is what I also assume to be the case
Nice! I think I share the same opinion:
1) If you go through the Twitch way, you get 7 days prime gaming (I don't have any experience with this path)
2) If you go through the Amazon trial, you get 30 days of Deliveries, Video, Prime Gaming and Music (This is the path I know and took when I used the trial option, in my case they did not offered another 30 days extension)

As you guys, I am not in the USA. I remember was a kind of confussing when loged the first time to the 3 other -services- (Video, Gaming and Music) because Amazon was using its USA site and warning me if I wanted to be redirected to my country sites. I took the later and they worked fine.

So, based on this theory, I would suggest you take the path 1 (In 7 those days you claim the current November goodies). And wait until sometime** in December to then take the trial of path 2.
Warning: I assume activating the trial of path1 does not disables the trial on path 2.

Let us know your experience idbeholdME. Maybe I have the path1 open yet: Not needed in this moment, but would be good to know its there :)

** Something I consider important: The offering games dates in the last 2 months have stabilized more or less (start on the 1st day of the month and due the last day) But that has not been the norm. In past months (I did my trial like in April 2021) and some giveaways had like 3 weeks sometime during the month, while another (like 10 old SEGA games) lasted a couple of months. Right now, as you already noticed, the Tomb Raider expires in few days (not following the 1st to 30th). I mention this because who knows the schedule they will use in December. You will need to log on AGaming once in a while to see what they are offering and the dates to activate your second trial when most beneficial estimating to grab the January goodies too :)

So, I went ahead with it and here is what happened.

After proceeding with the 7 day trial for prime gaming, I got redirected to Amazon to activate "Prime Video", with a note that it includes the benefits of Prime Gaming (video.jpg). Then it wanted to verify my payment method for some reason even though the price was 0 (I occasionally shop on Amazon, so I have a payment method put in) but it hanged indefinitely on the verification. I closed the page after a couple of minutes and went back to the Control claim page, where the button changed from "Try Prime" to "Activate Prime Gaming". Clicking that, it enabled Prime Gaming and then was able to claim the freebies.

In case of GOG, it generates a code for you to redeem. In case of Epic, you have to link your Amazon and Epic accounts. Origin also generates a code. As I already had Dragon Age: Inquisition, will probably drop the code in the non-GOG giveaway thread.

Also, it appears that using this free 7 day trial did not use up the 30 day trial straight from Amazon (seems like I can still use it). Now just to remember to cancel this within 7 days :P

EDIT:
So, I'm currently in some in-between state. Due to me not verifying the payment method (I actually can't physically do it due to it always failing, timing out or straight up not working), and I actually did not activate the Prime Video trial (says I don't have a subscription when I enter prime video-orders) and the order is on hold (noice.jpg). Yet I was still able to activate Prime Gaming and claim the games for whatever reason..... At the moment, I can't cancel anything due to Amazon thinking I don't have anything active. Nicely done Amazon. Here is hoping they won't start charging me after a week, but they shouldn't be able to due to the payment method not being verified. I also got no mail confirmation or anything and have a hold payment for 0.00 in the bank account I used.

10/10 experience. Needs to be more confusing IMO.

EDIT 2:
My Prime Gaming is no longer active. The "Activate Prime Gaming" button is back (lebutton.jpg). No idea what is happening but I claimed the games in the time window I could do so and that's it for me. As long as they don't charge me anything, they can enjoy the mess their friendly user experience created. "Amazon is confused. It hurt itself in its confusion".

Cool! Enjoy the freebies courtesy of Bezos! :)

Some other memories from my 30 days trial:
- They did a -1usd charge test- and charged back to offset it at the same time. Was not instant, those appeared on my card the next day.
- They never sent any email communication (trial activated, trial near to expire therefore start paying, games added to library, hell, not even when I cancelled the trial) But I must confess forbidding any -A- marketing email communication long time ago in my account settings (I got sick of the lot of silly offers without any price in the emails)
- I cancelled the 30 days trial like 5 days before the due date. It was not easy to find the link on the -A- site
- When I cancelled I noticed the F*ers were going to charge me the yearly subscription! When I do not even remotely remember being asked at any moment about it...

I am more than happy hearing you got a better experience :)

About their properly Prime Gaming games: I haven't been excited on any from the last batches (I cannot complain: the good ones have been the non-Prime). But when I got the SEGA ones I used the client to download & install them and I was able to run them without its client and without needing any internet. The same happy result with a few others I tried not because my taste, but just for the sake to test their temper. So DRM wasn't heavily enforced: I hope PG keeps that DRM relaxed trend with the exception of providing better titles if possible :)
