Sachys: Part of me hopes all the prospective forgers will as well! ;D
So, let's delete our posts so they won't notice, in case they miss the point too! :D

011284mm: I cannot get prisoners to remain more then a week in my prisons. They treat it like a B&B.
Well, then I'm sure tinyE can advise you on the matter.

Well, good luck! :)
It's a text based save file. There is no need to forge a screen capture since the screen capture would be 100% legit. The problem is the save file. All you have to do is start monkeying around with the line "BEGIN PrisonValue Value xxxx END" and what comes after it.

It would take some time to find some legitimate numbers that makes the value number look legit, but there is plenty of time for that.

I've not played around with the save files in much detail, but there are plenty of people that are experts. Honestly if I had enough of a desire (which I don't) I probably could work out all the details before the 20th. After all pretty much in plain text English and the parts that are not in plain text English are not trying very had to be secretive.

I'm really bad at the game. I can only imagine what someone that is really good at it could do (it probably would take a certain amount of legit skill to design a convincing prison that you can monkey with).

camerondegraff: I'm sorry, but wouldn't this be really easy cheat using something like cheat engine? Granted, I've never played the game before, but this seems like a pretty easy way to fix one's scores.
this. given the fact that all you have to do is get a screen grab and since screen grabs can be manipulated it seems that this is...problematic, at best.

related [and after a brisk edit]: it's also not that difficult to change the save file.

about the only way i can see that you could "legitimize" this contest is doing what they do for world records: someone neutral must be there to watch. you must record footage.

in any event, good luck to anyone legitimately taking part and good luck to gog for trying to figure out forgeries/real games.

Smannesman: So how long does it take to get to 50 days?
avatar
Sachys: im not sure - either its been moved, or there is no in-game day counter anymore. O_____o

...but after an hour of play (maybe about 7 days in), my validation already tops $1,000,000 - but the problems are yet to come... as they always do
Hmmm.. that might be more than I can manage, no pun intended.

Smannesman:
i respotted the in game counter - it took only a couple of hours to get to 10 days on a new prison built from scratch

Wow, since when was "wikia" a generic rather than proper noun?
Arses - the deadline was yesterday?! Could have sworn it was tomorrow!
Any updates on the winners GOG?
Still nothing?
