KS: I see that this is an old problem (and resolved already), but I am experiencing it the last couple of days. I purchased some games on the Black Friday offer and I tried the option "Backup & goodies" from Galaxy to download them to my hard drive. I get the server problem error for every file I download. I erased the storage folder (/Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Storage since I have a Mac) but this did not correct the problem. Any suggestions? Does anybody else have this problem nowdays?
Thank you for looking first. :)

I don't use Galaxy but the first thing that comes to mind is if Galaxy can get past your firewall. I know with a certain MMO I play, every time the program gets an update, it's enough of a change that the firewall detects it as a new program.

That would be the first thing I would check. Go into your firewall settings and make sure Galaxy can get past it.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your reply.
No, I am certain it's not the firewall. I disabled it while trying to download the games.
I am trying to get Kingdom Come and its DLCs and cannot get them with either galaxy or gog's traditinal downloader. Galaxy comes up with frequent "server errors" and also "disk access errors" I checked my disk, did scan and also ccleaner/chkdsk /f /r still disk acccess problem. on the GOG downloader it tryins and downloads then the progress bar goes backwards and it continually starts over and finally "fails".to a grey bar. I am actually downloading rather than doing the galaxy "auto install" and they still fail. I can niether get them to work on galaxy nor the downloader! I think it is GOG itself, not just galaxy! I am doing without and I hate it! because I love that game!

It is definitely not the firewall.

but I had to do a system reinstall and have attemped now no avail.

I'm getting by with just constant "retry" applications but one thing i noticed is the game folder has massive bloating. I really don't want to delete the whole thing in hopes of a clean download because at this point I'm really unhappy with GOG-G

I've been having this issue for the past week, and so haven't been able to install any game.

When I click the install button for any game in Goglaxy, the window, as shown in the attached photo, pops up and it searches or waits indefinitely. Eventually, after maybe 15 or so minutes, it will stop trying to connect to the server. After that, whenever I click the install button, it will immediately fail to connect and a message saying "server problem" will appear.

Is there a solution to this issue?

Not sure but maybe I had the same - after clicking install I saw only `server error` message.
Restarting of GoG helped. (Window11: Right click on the GOG icon in a taskbar and select `Exit` [not Close all windows].)
I disabled ipv6 on my network adapter and that fixed the issue.
