Congrats!!

A few questionable categories..

Most Wanted: Fallout 4 (Bethesda)

How is that an award??? game isnt even out...

mechmouse: Though I prefer to see a game list "steam" as its platform rather than "PC", when its tied to steam.
That's a good idea.

They should call it most waited game, the old name was most wanted game for christmas.
In 2014 Witcher won this award btw :)

Spy_Gentleman: Don't forget the fact that instead of PC as a selection for Best Gaming Platform, it's Steam instead.
avatar
mechmouse: I saw that too. Unfortunately for 80% of mainstream PC games you have no choice but to use Steam.

I would not call Steam the best gaming platform.
Get exclusivity on most high profile titles by DRM fear-mongering from gullible publishers, thin out all other sources by making your platform mandatory regardless where the game gets sold, get voted best platform by the next generation who does not know better & lack of alternatives.

If it where out it would not be "most wanted" anymore I guess.
Congrats to CDPR!

I'm in agreement there. I liked that MS had the "Games for Windows" banners & always thought if Valve was so proud of their system they should have used something similar for packaging
CDPR deserves all the accolades they get, and that's purely on what they've done for their fans and devotees over the years. I don't stump or shill for studios, but hey, this is the one exception.

Many cool years to come! Continue your quest for excellence!

PookaMustard: Oh my, Valve must have paid the Golden Joystick so hard to win themselves a place! Really, anyone who thinks the best gaming platform is Steam really needs to shoot themselves in the foot.

So I'm right when I say that Steam and PC are separate platforms!
To be fair I doubt Galaxy will be winning any awards anytime soon, from anyone.

Congratulations CDPR! I hope the same would happen next year!
Congratulations to CDPR, but umm..... That thing, it seems a little off to me.

Playfire Most Played: Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
- What, have people been doing nothing but playing six copies of GTA:V 24/7 ? DOTA has got to have more play hours this year per-person then GTA:V, especially on PC where I understand Playfire supposedly gets its metrics.

Innovation of the Year: First-person mode in Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
- That was not an innovation. It might have been back in the 80-90's but now we have hundreds of thousands of first person games. Most do it better then GTA:V

Best Handheld/Mobile Game: Fallout Shelter (Bethesda)
- Really not going to argue, but this beat Candy Crush. Really?

Most Wanted: Fallout 4 (Bethesda)
- I get it, but I feel a little upset it was this and not Hitman 6. I really am looking forward to never getting to play Hitman 6.

Gaming Personality of the Year: PewDiePie
- Dear god, WHY? That shrinking BLEEP.

Best eSports icon: CounterStrike GO - Anders Blume
- WTF? I have absolutly no idea about this. How did no-one from the StarCraft competitive arena not end up getting this. I mean there are hundreds of them being watched all the time. I have never even heard of CS:GO, I know there is a Hitman GO though.

Gaming Platform of the Year: Steam
- Ha, rigged. There was PS4, XBone Nintendo WiiU, Nintendo 3DS* and Steam, but no PC.
* Should have also had 2DS to really make sure that Nintendo got trounced.

Best PC Game: Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
- Nope, here should live the Witcher 3. I bet this was mostly clicked by PS4/XBone users as they had no other choice in what they knew. No CoD to vote for.

Ultimate Game of the Year: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (CD Projekt RED)
- No offence CDPR - I even bought the game - but no. Ultimate game of 2015 has got to be Candy Crush on every other phone around the world. It out numbers you on downloads, play time and probably financial gain too.
It is still shit, but you have to admit it has a bigger audience, and billions of players. So really you lost this one.

I'm not sure I got your statement right but it seems you confused something there. The next Hitman game by IO Interactive, the developers of every major Hitman installment so far, is still on its way. What was cancelled is a Hitman game developed simultaneously by another studio. It would have been to the series what Rogue was to the Assassin's Creed series or what Origins was to Rocksteady's Arkham series, so presumably it's not a great loss.
Grats CDPR!

I like GTA V but that innovation award sounds lame as shit. Why is something like that no awarded to Kerbal Space Program is beyond me.
Platform of the year: Gog.

Good to see Her Story and Kerbal Space Program, and yes, I'm a bit of a fan of Rockstar as well.

WTF???
Hey, guess who has the money to bribe the judges?

Agreed, guess that shows you something about
1. The demographic that voted; and
2. The exposure that KSP has.
