I actually saw a paper company once that'd give you a seed packet of trees for every package of paper you bought, to make up for what they cut down or whatever.

I play on the off chance that I win. My reasoning: I can afford $8 a week. I play that because if it ever DOES hit, then it's the best day ever. But your chances of winning, while non-existent are infinitely better than if you don't buy a ticket. Call it a pleasant surprise when I get anything. I don't play hoping to win, but rather because someone has to win, and if my numbers come up, then it's better to have a ticket to claim than not.
