Geralt_of_Rivia: Because to re-release the game you wouldn't only need to find out who owns the copyright of the game today and strike a deal with them you would also need to reach an agreement with Hasbro for the Magic: The Gathering IP.
And I don't see
any chance of that happening since Hasbro likes to push out one crappy Duels of the Planeswalker game per year on PC and Consoles and sell virtual cards for MtG Online.
It's probably more likely that Disney releases all old Lucasarts games for free than seeing the Microprose MtG game here. :-(
Meh - I dunno, the infinity engine D&D games are here and if they weren't you might just as equally be all "Hasbro won't bring those here, they're too busy making crappy D&D MMORPGs to care about those old things" (The publisher on GOG of the IE games has actually ended up being listed as 'Hasbro' if you check, after spending stints as Interplay AND Atari!)
I actually wonder if the issues are technical; though - I remember that game had all sorts of issues back then, good if you DID get it running though!
