Sounds great.
Apologies for the self-promotion, but what would you say to adding the lengthy tutorial posts I put up for people wanting to play their Windows GOG games on OS X?

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_games_on_mac_os_x_a_how_to/page1

It was last updated in 2012, but I do plan on updating it to remain current with some of the latest changes with CrossOver and Wineskin.
Game deals:

Another important thread around here which I feel should be added to the Compendium :-)

Perhaps this thread would be a good one to add:

This thread should be added:

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/bitcoin_payment_acceptance

If you haven't heard yet - Microsoft is accepting bitcoin for games now. Is gog.com going to catch up, or do you plan to be left behind completely? You had the chance to be between the pioneers, you missed it. Now the question is - how far behind do you plan to stay?

I don't think it is a question anymore IF gog.com will accept bitcoin, but WHEN and WHY haven't they done that yet?

P. S. inb4 all kinds of trolls - the value of BTC and it's fluctuations are completely irrelevant - gog.com can accept euros/dollars/etc through the bitcoin network, just without all the fees that visa/mastercard/paypal takes and without any possibility for chargeback fraud.

I don't want to self-promote my own thread, but what would y'all think of this thread being added to the list?

While I see that you are quite passionate about that topic and I would not mind if that would be accepted (but also don't really care about it), I am actually not really sure why that thread needs to be in the community compendium since it does not fall in the awesome or usefull category for the community it is just another feature request.

Good idea since the gogmix can give people a good overview about the great games here :-)

"Not having an internet strategy in 1995 is the equivalent of not having a bitcoin strategy now."

If gog.com wants to survive, it should have a bitcoin strategy NOW. I think it's quite useful for gog.com's users to have gog.com staying and not going away.

The ones who care about this can vote and/or opine there. While it's great to have a dedicated thread (or threads) for a topic one feels is important, I agree with moonshineshadow that this is not really something which needs to be indefinitely stickied at the front of the main forum. I might (hypothetically) feel strongly about regional pricing, or the use of Steam, or other such things which could likewise affect GOG's future fortunes, but threads about such issues shouldn't necessarily be cluttering up the community stickies thread. This in no way means that they are less important; merely that they are considered to be less useful or less applicable to a broad cross-section of GOG users.
I think it would be helpful to have this with the other community stickies:
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/how_to_get_help_in_the_forums/page1

It's about how to get help in the forums, so people can link to it when someone writes the tipical "I NEED HELP" topic without giving any useful information.

Don't know if anyone is still looking out for this thread, and likely it's just me, but there seems to be a conflict with the greasemonkey extension (which I noticed has been updated with a new outlook very recently), and barefootmonkey's script. The essentials doesn't seem to be able to show up anymore for anything to work. :/

You should put that with as much details as possible in the Barefoot_Essentials thread so that it hopefully will be fixed :-)

Can't help but notice that you haven't updated your list in a while :) No rush, but maybe you might want to include some of the other nice threads that were linked here. :)
