Basically you are the CEO of a mercenary company. You have a stockmarket where you can buy companies to enhance your units, you can design new units etc. Combat is C&C style and not that great, but the rest of the game makes up for it.

This was another round ShadowCaster ruled!
Cold Fear, Genewars and The Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth also had a notable amount of votes.
MAGIC & MAYHEM (aka Duel: The Mage Wars) (1998)

[currenlty 253 votes]

Possible one of the most underrated games ever made! In Magic & Mayhem, you play a wizard/summoner. The game really manages to make you feel like one, because you are also supposed to use ingredients in order to cast spells. The setting is very well created, using Celtic, Greek and King Arthurish touches in different parts of the game. I absolutely adore the colorful (but not very childish) graphics and the music of the game. Another thing to mention was the cutscenes, where the developers chose to use claymotion technique which was very beautiful but not really economically feasible :)

Game Review
Mystery of the Druids was the unchallenged ruler of this round, jumping from out of nowhere to the safe position of #6. In this round, it was followed by Take No Prisoners, Get Medieval and The Horde.

Last but not the least, 2006 games are now eligible. Go, check out which 2006 games you want on GOG!

Lydia's first day of school at the Dragonvale School of Magic doesn't turn out as she expected.  The hustle and bustle of busy teachers and new students is normal during the orientation day.  She is excited that she will again see Celeste, her childhood friend from many years ago, who is also attending Dragonvale.  Anticipation and excitement quickly change into worry when she finds a completely deserted school.  The only trace of people is an old puppet she finds on the floor - a gift once belonging to Celeste!

You play Lydia in 3rd person perspective during this point-and-click adventure game.  Help her discover what happened by exploring the vast rooms and corridors of Dragonvale.  She will not be totally alone during her adventure.  There will be interaction with other people (and creatures), puzzle solving and inventory objects to find and use.

Procedurally generated Aliens/Space-Hulk like Coop-Shooter designed for quick and intense matches. Includes all the multiplayer things you would wish for, including split-screen. Sorry for the boring text and lack of screenshots but why it is awesome has to be experienced or at least watched. Go check out a video of it.

Currently in EA on Steam, *very* regular updates plus they are planning to release soon from what I have read. Polished and playable in its current form.

Adams was an avid safe collector and an “eccentric” to say the least.  Adams has hidden the deed to his vast fortunes in one of over 30 safes.  You must crack them all using hints scattered throughout his extravagant mansion.  The stakes are high.  Use your expertise, wits, and puzzle solving skills to earn your paycheck!

Shadowcaster was the uncontested winner of this round, increasing its votes by a far margin. The Reap was another successful game.
CASTLES: THE NORTHERN CAMPAIGN (1991)

[currently 142 votes]*

People have been begging for the expansion almost since GOG's launch with no success. The original game is here, but the expansion is not. The game adds new graphics, economics, new combat features (vikings, archers etc.) and troop training. Also, Brian Fargo is credited as the Executive Producer. According to Wikipedia, "Castles: The Northern Campaign was reviewed in 1992 in Dragon #180 by the Lessers. The reviewers gave the game 5 out of 5 stars". Dragon magazine, on the other hand, gave the game a perfect score, 100 out of 100. So if we have Castles here, why not The Northern Campaign?

QUEEN: THE EYE (1998)

[currently 262 votes]*

This is a rare collectible for Queen (yes, the band) fans, which took about 11 years to make. If you have a look at the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen:_The_eYe]soundtrack[/url] you will see all the versions of tracks only found in Queen: The eYe. The plot is briefly a computer called The eYe - has turned the world into a dystopia banning free expression and creativity. You are a guy called Dubroc and your crime is basically rediscovering music. The game unsurprisingly has a science fiction setting. The publisher is Electronic Arts. In addition to that, I had contacted the dev, Richard Ashdown, who told me the rights most likely belong to EA and not the band. However, I guess the band might still hold some license to the music. It is not a great game. But it is definitely a game that arouses curiosity.
