I think a healthy dose of doubt is entirely reasonable after that absolute shitshow that still is Commandos 2 - HD Remaster.

If optional censorship is really a thing now they probably should think about relaunching the Commandos 2 remaster with the option then, too.

Why can't we have Commandos: Strike Force game for so many years? Yet it's available on some other stores.

Which stores would that be? (apart from brick and mortar stores and ebay?)

The wishlist entry simply hasn't amassed that critical amount of votes yet, however much that is.
Could also have something to do with Strike Force being the weakest and most unpopular entry in the franchise and therefore it's not high priority to get it onto GoG a.s.a.p.

For me it looks amazing and I love FPS and I always wanted to play Commandos from first person point of view (like they did for Command & Conquer franchise one time, and 2 cancelled FPS games later).
I wish I had bought in on Gamersgate when I had a chance or on Zoom before all my payment options were cut forever.

I personally think that it has something to do with publishing rights. I think on Gamersgate it was published directly by Pyro, on Zoom all Commandos games published by Merge Games. And OMG it was available on Steam even, a very long time ago. This game is super evasive, it changed several digital stores already.

I bet every sales manager knows that some customers just love to purchase all games in series even if they are not into playing some of them. But who am I kidding, since when more sales is a valid goal for a store.

Wishlist entry

Until Kalypso brings back the swastikas to the "Commando" games, they won't see a cent from me.
I don't have any kind of Nazi sympathies. On the contrary.

But I absolutely hate historical revisionism.
If they wanted to ban all sorts of Nazi icons, for God knows what sort of stupid idea, they could at least pretend the games were set on some "alternate reality"... Like Clhaplin's "The Great Dictator".

What's next? Make a stealth mission set on Warsaw's Ghetto and say that it's filled with "refugees", instead of jews?

If I'm not mistaken it's only the HD remasters of 2 and 3 that suffer from the historical revisionism, the original releases are unaffected.
Although I think Kalypso has added the possibility to opt out of the censored content via a toggle?

Looks like they might have learned their lesson though, the fifth screenshot actually has a swastika flag:

I think this is the first game to be developed by Claymore Game Studios. Let's hope they can make something big, on the level of Mimimi.

In fact, both Claymore and Mimimi are German studios, so if Mimimi hadn't closed down so recently, I'd think it might be a studio founded by some ex-Mimimi. Not that it's out of the question either, Mimimi has been around for years, I don't know if Claymore might have some former Mimimi members on staff.
