Catventurer: What's the difference between these... aren't they technically both demos?

(I'm asking as a totally serious question with 0% snark. It can be hard to tell online.)

Lone_Scout: I'd bet it's the same thing with two different product pages, but I haven't checked it...
That's quite alright. :)

I haven't played both, but the installer sizes are pretty different:
Prologue - 2.2GB
Demo - 8.7GB
(These numbers are from the Linux versions but the Windows ones should be similar.)

octalot: I was going to wishlist, until I saw that it had a custom EULA.
This EULA is a legal agreement between you and Anshar Studios S.A. with its registered office in Katowice, Poland, registry number (KRS): 0000489367, the developer and producer (“Anshar”) regarding use of Gamedec (referred in this EULA as: the “Game” or “Gamedec")...
IANAL, but I think there may be a drafting problem here...

Diving a little deeper into the mystery, Prologue's version is 0.3.6 while Demo is 0.4.7.
It seems that Prologue is just an older version of the demo, but this issue has intrigued me enough to install and try both... Stay tuned :)

Prologue is an earlier version of the Demo.

However, the starting scenario is quite different in one and another, so they're both worth checking out if you are interested in the game.

It's still on the pages for Gamedec, but mention of an additional EULA been removed from all versions of Zoria and Liberté today. Many thanks to the at least 40 users who upvoted that 1-star review on Liberté's page.

I did say "If the EULA is removed, so that this is no longer a review of the product offered on this page, then I'll ask GOG to remove this review." They were a bit too quick to delete it, but as they've also sorted out the EULA itself then I'll not take that further.

Edit: spoke too soon. On the Steam page for Liberté, an EULA with the right game name but still with the obnoxious Fan Content clause has appeared.

Finally!

But that timing... seems Dragon's Dogma II might be releasing in March as well.

Had hoped Zoria would show up over the holiday season. Oh well... look forward to it

I played whichever came first, and it was promising but didn't do a great job of showing off what will hopefully be the scope of the full game. Once you lose a crutch character you're given in the opening scene, you have the common early-game problem in RPGs where your low-level characters have few combat options so fights play out too similarly.

I thought the prologue was... ok? Didn't leave much a lasting impression. Just sort of serviceable, run of the mill RPG.

Looks good!

Dragon battle? SOLD
I played the demo and it looks good and has actual physics. Too bad that the combat is turn-based, that's not really my cup of tea. But it's definetly not a bad game at all :)
I like that you can save anytime you want!
