Did you enjoy Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader? Well, we got some great news – its newest DLC, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Void Shadows, is coming soon on GOG!

In Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, you begin your adventure aboard your personal, giant voidship, traveling between the multitude of systems within the Koronus Expanse, a barely charted and incredibly perilous region of space. Despite being considered a backwater of the Imperium, this region encompasses an enormous stretch of the void, filled with dangerous creatures and prodigious opportunities for profit and exploration.

Your role as Lord-Captain is pivotal; your choices wield consequence. Whether displaying mercy or disdain, upholding loyalty to the God-Emperor, or delving into alliances with enemies of Mankind, each decision, from character creation to quest outcomes, shapes the dynamic open world and its inhabitants.

With the DLC, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader - Void Shadows, you’ll be sure to take your gaming experiences to the next level – as it offers a massive amount of content with about 15 hours of fresh gameplay and a new romanceable companion.

Wishlist it now!
Gonna wait to start a new playthrough until this is released.
'Twould be an excellent time for a major discount on the main game, no? :)
Rogue Trader looks good. But I hope the devs have been working hard to fix most of the bugs the base game reportedly had on release, before releasing this DLC ...
That's what I want to know as well: There have been so many reports of bugs. Has anything changed?
Been playing on and off since the launch back in December 2023 and besides a few very minor issues and I think 2 random crashes it's been nothing but smooth sailing.
Same here.
If there were any serious issues they either have been fixed in the meantime or I was lucky enough to not have come across any at all.

I recently bought the game. What bugs were people talking about? I'm 3 hours into it, and have not came a across any bugs. Maybe I haven't played enough.

I haven't played it myself, but many of the store page reviews shortly after release heavily criticized the game for being bug-ridden and broken. In the top 5 'most helpful' reviews:

- A good game, in intolerable condition
- Don't support releases in this state
- Everything is buggy and broken

Although, those were all posted back in December and recent reviews seem to be more positive. If Owlcat have fixed it up since then, fair enough - will bump it up my wishlist.

There was major update in February:
https://roguetrader.owlcat.games/news/en/33

The last version 1.1.67 is also on GOG.

If you want to read the patch notes then you can read them here:
https://steamdb.info/app/2186680/patchnotes/

There is also another huge update (version 1.2) in the works.
https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/14428290/

"Lord Captains, as we continue to work on the big 1.2 patch, we are deploying a smaller update 1.1.67 to keep you busy! In this update, we're fixing another handful of bugs, while bringing some optimizations and improvements for the UI and fonts on Steam Deck and controller interface."
I think people might be overstating the bugginess of the current release.

I recently finished a full play-through and am a third of the way through the next and while there is some bugginess, 95% of the game (i.e. as much as you need to enjoy it) works as advertised.

The remaining 5% is more along the lines of 'guess I better reload then' than 'CTD' and I've experienced zero crashes throughout.

Also -- more Rogue Trader! Wheee!
It's an Owlcat game. They are buggy as hell when first released. Owlcat does eventually fix most of the bugs. I generally don't recommend getting an Owlcat game until at least the six-month mark after the official launch - which is right around now for Rogue Trader. But yeah, it was an absolute mess at launch - anything that wasn't in Early Access was nearly unplayable for many people (me included).
Strangely, I played it since release and didn't experience many bugs at all. Certainly nothing game-breaking. Obviously, this may have been because of my specific path through the game, but I didn't get why it was so criticised. Anyway, deleted it, may reinstall after this DLC, but only after I finally finish WOTR!
Death Cult Introduction

"In “Void Shadows” you will not only meet new enemies, but also new allies. One of them is a secretive Death Cult that worships the Emperor in his most merciless form, the god of death."

Even in the 41st millennium goth bangs are still fashionable I see.
Completely bald would have been more fitting for a death cult assassin but this will do just as well.
