I've just played the demo for a while and love it. The only minor critique is about static faces, hardly any animation and no lip movement. Otherwise this is a title I'm going to look forward to its release. :)

NuffCatnip: I agree, while I like the idea of these devs trying something new (and the art is gorgeous), I hate what they're doing to vampires (among other directors, developers etc.).
Vampires are becoming lamer and lamer every year.
I mostly associate vampires with chick flicks now.

But 20 years ago we had Bloodlines, Bloodrayne, Van Helsing.. what happened? I still like vampires, but it has certainly become less cool.

Then the Vampire meta became the zombie meta. Wich was later replaced by superhero meta. Let me think what was there before the vampire thing, cars?

Hm I think the last good vampire flick I really liked was the Swedish film 'Let The Right One In', not its Americanized bastardization. It may have some elements of young romance, but it's still pretty dark in the right ways.

I did kind of enjoy 'Renfield' as a popcorn flick. *shrug*

The last voyage of the Demeter, Renfield, El Condo, Jacob's Wife, Boys from County Hell, Red Snow, Death Rider in the House of Vampires, Blood, Dampyr. etc. That;s only some of the films in the last 3-4 years. Extending it further, e have the modern classics like Let the right one in, From Dusk til Dawn, Blade, 30 Days of Night, Thirst, A girl walks home alone at night, Stake land. And off course, do not forget What we do in the shadows.

I have not got any problem with recent vampire movies.

My primary definition of vampires remains Anne Rice's, not counting where she lost her way (Merrick, Blackwood Farm, Blood Canticle). But in terms of a wide variety, WoD offers that (btw, there was even a short-lived TV series in the universe). On the other hand, yeah, From Dusk Till Dawn just went for dialing the badassery over the top...

And I promise you, if GOG ever starts releasing stuff like the missing Star Trek or Lord of the Rings games, or Discworld, Max Payne trilogy, American McGee's Alice, or new stuff that's more befitting of a "curated store" than recent Masturbating Mushrooms, I'll be so cheerfull you'll be more sick of me than when I was grumpy.
You're completely mistaken! I look at Grumpy Breja and think "Why can't a game be released here on GOG that makes Breja happy?"

Oh..... Epic Mickey, Amberzone, The Thing.... Interestingly enough, that's three games I'm not interested in. >.< I will join you in wanting Discworld, but Star Trek is something that I've always felt was full of missed opportunities like how there's no simulation game based on Quark's Bar.

Guys, you really need to go with me on this one --

Let's look at Twilight objectively. It has supernatural beings that 1) co-habituate in weird quasi-incestuous relationships, 2) stalk humans without trying to eat us if we smell nice, 3) claims to be vegans because doesn't eat humans... or apparently anything else, 4) are constantly described as being impossibly beautiful, 5) enter human dwellings uninvited, 6) don't sleep at all ever, not even coffin naps during the day, 7) lack all of the other vampire weaknesses, and 8) get all sparkly when sunlight is involved.

When it comes to fake supernatural beings, that sounds more like fairies than anything undead.


I will be very disappointed with the Vampire Therapist if a vegan vampire shows up, and you don't have an option to threaten to throw him out or eat him.

I knew the show was going to be great when I saw the lead up promo for Season 1 where Nandor the Relentless was in what looked like a Dollar Tree and was purchasing what was very clearly crepe paper while calling it creepy paper.
