Not too long we’ve announced that 8 great timeless classics published by SNEG will soon join our catalog. Today, two more join that list: Star Command and Phantasie Memorial Set!

Star Command
A 1988 space role-playing game in which the story takes place in a dystopian future where Earth was destroyed by hostile aliens and humans, now located in a far space of the universe called "the triangle", must face a double war to survive. You’ll create a crew of eight characters that complete missions from Star Command to earn credits and training for personnel. Your crew can explore planets to obtain valuables, and can board disabled enemy ships to fight their crews and commandeer their ship.

Phantasie Memorial Set
This title, actually compiles the classic RPG trilogy, featuring party-based adventures, turn-based combat, diverse classes, and epic quests. Phantasie series is a timeless contribution to early RPGs that embodies fantasy world exploration and strategic gameplay.

Make sure to wishlist those classic gems so you won’t miss their release or any special offer!
Not that it makes that much of a difference but another article had the release of these and the ones from the other announcement dated to the 19th instead of the 14th of December.
I must understand that the Phantasie II version will be the apple ][ or C64 version? Because It was not released in PC DOS

Another couple (Four in fact) of great SSI RPG oldies, indeed, in its CGA Glory!

Someone in the other announcement thread speculated that it might be an emulated Apple II version?
Or that they actually ported it to DOS.

Ported to DOS? A non released alpha prototype? It would be añ curiosity.

Looking for information, apparently there was not Apple II version. The best looking and with the most modern interface was the Atari ST version. It would be great it was the one available. The Commodore 64 has also a lot of charm, even the Atari 8 bit is better graphically compared with the DOS version prequel

GOG.com: Coming soon: two more classic titles from SNEG!
- Star Command
- Phantasie Memorial Set
Hell yeah! Now we're talking.

Never played "Star Command", but the "Phantasie" series is a must buy for me.

Gudadantza: CGA Glory!
... it certainly had its time, but I wouldn't call anything earlier than VGA glorious :P.
I must laugh at what it says about Phantasie on the store page:

"Beautiful 90s color graphics and a spell-binding storyline"

where do you buy these ips, i thought they were locked away in some vault guarded by some ip gatekeeper
Those 3 color DOS games are painful to look at. I went down the C64 and Amiga 500 path. Anything back then always looked better than DOS versions back then. Still, it's nice to see these old RPGs here.
Ah, I remember Phantasie...spent many hours with the games.
Not that I want to play them again.

AFAIK it's the designer of the game who now owns the rights.

Too bad Star Command has not been updated, by the looks of it. The UI is quite terrible.

That would be correct:

Glad to see more classics come to GOG. So many trips down memory lane recently lol.

Thank you SNEG and GOG, keep up the good work and keep them coming!. :)
.
I'd forgotten about these until I saw that box art! Man-o-man, does this take me back. ;)
