To get the ultimate experience though, get The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition!

Soon on GOG!
Will the old version be removed on the release of the new version? Important information for those of us who have the base game without the DLC:s and thus do not yet qualify for the $9.99 upgrade. If the old version is removed then there will be no way to upgrade later on without paying the full price...

Does the new version include the soundtrack? Will the existing soundtrack be delisted when the new one is released? Will the new version include a newer/expanded soundtrack as a separate purchase?

Been waiting for a sale on the soundtrack as this game is a double (possibly triple) dip for me.

NuffCatnip: 10 bucks for the upgrade, if you own the game, nah thanks. The few adjustments they made are probably not worth it.
How would you know, all we've seen is a brief trailer?

Personally I love the game so $10 for better graphics, improved balancing (easily the game's biggest fault) and a sprinkle of new content sounds great. I'll be there day one.

I know that I don't need updated textures. They are fine the way they are, at least to me and I disagree, I think the biggest fault is the pacing.

The most interesting part of the update is the higher level cap, but that isn't worth the asking price to me.

It's not just textures. Again people seem to be rushing to conclusions based on a 1 minute video. If you're not sold then of course wait for more footage and information, but this "oh what a ripoff" crap is just typical internet negativity.

Uh huh.
My post was about me not having any interest in this update, nothing else.

Based on zero knowledge, hence me saying its rooted in an urge to always react negatively.

You and me both, man.
I could be interested in this. I've only played the base game before, so if this includes the DLCs and ends up being $20, then that'll be a pretty good deal. It's pretty much now or never. I doubt I'll ever try this again after Starfield lands later.
Anyone else think the the base and existing bundles are way overpriced ($89.95/$127.19AUD) in the first place?
I could be convinced to throw ten bucks at this but I will need some more information made clear before it comes out. Such as what is the content added, the impact it has on the overall game, who made this and why.

Although the graphics can be tweaked to look a bit better, I quite like the way it looks and they won't get me on graphical improvements alone when I've seen enough games' visual style muddied by unnecessary high-res textures and shaders.
Every time I see the word "edition" I vomit in my mouth a little bit.

But maybe I'll give this one a try, since it's Obsidian.

Same here.

In fact the only issue I had with Outer Worlds was with the "Murder on Eridanos" dlc. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this dlc FAR more than I thought I would. It's just that I started it shorlty after the quest chain became available and by the time I'd finished it i'd already hit the level cap and was geared out to the point that the rest of the game became a cakewalk.

It must have been tough, throwing up constantly since Myst Desktop Edition came out in 1993

Yeah I like a good level cap that makes you specialize, it just wasn't handled well here. You get an insane amount of xp from the DLC quests, so you'll hit the cap halfway through one of them. Then even at the cap you will likely only be able to max a couple skills, if that.

So an increased cap and maybe an xp rebalance would do the game wonders.
