Unravel the mysteries of the Guardian Menhirs and save your hometown from the darkness. Tainted Grail is coming soon DRM-free on GOG.COM. In this narrative-driven open-world RPG, based on the classic Arthurian legends, you will explore new lands, make tough choices, and live with their consequences... or simply fight your way through the hardships.
Interesting to see! Sadly most board game VG side projects or implementations go the "Steam only" route. I'm in for the board game and haven't been following the VG bit of it.
RPG and roguelike features?
Turn-based combat?
Based on a board game?
Looks like my kind of sh*t!
Wishlisted.
Looks interest...

... I'm listening? How "or" is that "or"? Meaning save; try and reload after you hearts desire like any normal RPG; no roguelitelikepermasomething or similar stuff attached?
Looks very interesting. Wishlisted :D
Nice to see a turn based RPG coming but i hope the doesn't have real card mechanics in it and it's just flavor for the game because while it sounds petty, card mechanics and/or card games like Thea for example just ruins the game for me. I have a massive dislike for it.

From the looks of it, different modes. Tainted Grail: Conquest is the roguelike with a narrative layer. This is what the in development phase will focus on.

Tainted Grail is the story campaign and the open-world RPG. There'll be three hours of it as a teaser during in development, but the full version will come with the full release.

I heard mixed things about the board game, and it seems to fall into that "cool big figures get people hyped on kickstarter" category that seems to have dominated board games in recent years, but there's enough about the premise I found interesting to regret the fact I'll probably never have a chance to play it. If this gives me a chance to have a fun single-player experience with it - I'm on board.

Not a fan of gambling as I despise wasted effort, as it is an incredibly strong de-motivator for me, which is pretty much how I see perma-death gameplay in a nutshell; though the town-building has me intrigued, it would depend on the save system as well as I'm not a fan of single-slot saving...

Wishlisted for now, I am however, glad to see new titles here especially ones released near the same time as steam in spite of my like or dislike of the genre!
I'm fan of these. Now try to get Tower Princess here.

I hope the main story campaign isn't just an afterthought.
I have never liked any games based on Arthurian legend, and I hate the misuse of "roguelike" and generally dislike having to hope to be able to bypass the broken save system on games which advertise it, but I added this game to my wishlist anyway, mainly due to turn-based combat. Maybe it's not that bad.
I'm but an ordinary human. How am I supposed to challenge and survive monsters like these? I'd rather scream and run away.

Wait, is it that Excalibur trembling in my hand (or my hands trembling around it)? No excuses then!
Very interested in this!

And GOG, while we're on board games to video games...

GLOOMHAVEN!
Ill be keeping an eye on it. Looks a bit too isometric for my tastes. If it is, I will only buy it on sale out of library building.
