Take charge of the surviving crew members of the USS Salem, a U.S. Navy submarine that sinks while on a top-secret mission during the early years of the Cold War. Stirring Abyss is coming soon DRM-free on GOG.COM. This tactical squad-based game with RPG elements lets you uncover the ancient mysteries of the depths depicted in the classic vein of Lovecraftian horror.
Just saw a gameplay video from the alpha version. Looks interesting.

Oh my, it looks gorgeous!
So... Terror from the Deep + Lovecraftian horror?
Love it! Can't wait to see how it ends up (hadn't heard of this one).

Really like the art direction, but the battle scenes look a little "cluttered" so I'm curious how easy it'll be to navigate your little guys around. But I'm certainly very interested.
I spoke to the developers
The game will also have a German translation.
Because of the achievements you don't know because it is your first game at GOG, but you will do your best to offer the same features at GOG that Steam will have.

I exactly thought Terror from the Deep. I wish they would reimagine that game like they did UFO Defense

Well, there's always the chance for XCOM 3. ;)

Well, the ending of XCOM 2 could give you hope...
Everybody talking about those X-COM Terror from the Deep vibes it gives. First thing I thought too. And that was a game I loved with a weird fascination but didn't age well FOR ME. So I would happly immerge in something close to my memories of playing it back then, even if it's a genre that I have been overlooking.
Many interesting news today!
Colour me interested. Look's great and seems like my type of game. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this.
You can't prepare for Cthullu...
By its looks remebers me of Treasure trap: a game with nightmarish controls which I've multiple times tried to play along the years failing miserably at.

Yeah, my thought too; prequel to X-Com 2 (classic). :D

Although I always considered TftD Lovecraftian horror in all but name.

My first impression is that it's X-Com but now we punch fishes.

Sure it's obviously going to use Lovecraft concept but I don't see any Lovecraftian worthy monsters in it yet.

It could be hilarious and great if turn out it's just a kingdom full of sapien fishes. Nothing say boss fight like getting pummeled by angry giant Tuna fish
