Prepare for a game that puts you in command of an advanced space battlecruiser.

Es geschehen noch Zeichen und Wunder.
This is great! I remember Star Fleet I and Star Fleet 2 as a teen when they were boxed versions. As I recall, SF 2 had some game breaking bugs and patching didn't really exist at that time and you would have to buy the whole game again! I know Empire was remade into Empire Deluxe Combined. Got the original boxed Empire as well. The Interstel games had you look for certain words in the manual at each loading as copy protection..time flies!
Really looking forward to this!

Also I am glad the Dev explained how the experience will be for those who have never heard of or played this game.

P.P.S Almost forgot....Star Fleet I as well please, Dr. Sorensen!

Also a sign of curation finally catching up with and re-reviewing the backlog of initially rejected submissions from before and when the pandemic was in full swing?

STAR FLEET II - Krellan Commander got the thumbs down back in April 2021:

Amazing, can't wait!!!

And to echo the other comments, please also release Star Fleet I!!!!
Wasn't this game released as freeware at some point? Or is it just my imagination...

All I have to say is a video game from 1989 still getting patches and updates?

Well I should say second video game, because Wasteland 1 got a remaster as well.

I love it when classic old video games from the 1980's and early 1990's got remasters and remakes.

Now if only Atari would release more of their video games from the 1870's and 1980's for sale on gog.com. I will purchase them.

Ot if Capcom would release their video games from the 1980's for sale on gog.com I will purchase them.

Actually, you can freely download the last publicly available build for free here:

Hello y'all! My name is Brian Rubin, and I go by Space Game Junkie online. I'm a playtester for the updated 2.0 version of Star Fleet II and am helping Trevor Sorensen bring it to both Steam and GOG. I stream the game pretty much every Monday not only to show off the latest features, but to help find bugs so we can squash them. You can see the whole playlist here:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6K1_LepsaN_0rhHWhMbkJm9HjqAuyYfy

And watch the latest videos at the end. Please feel free to ask me anything, I've hundreds of hours, maybe even close to a thousand at this point, in the game and it's become my all-time favorite game.

Thank you for your interest!

PS. Also about Star Fleet I, we plan to look into releasing it once SF2 2.0 is done and dusted. We wanna focus primarily on that first, but it is in the cards. :)

Looks like it didn't get a response at all, which is even worse really. Just how many games has GOG missed out on simply by dropping the ball?

I'm Trevor Sorensen, the creator of Star Fleet I and Star Fleet II. SF II was released by EA in 1989 in a very buggy form. Interstel provided free updates, but a new version never went on sale. In 1991 I completed an improved and debugged Version 1.5B which is available though many online sites, including the one Brian Rubin mentioned. Although it still has bugs, you can complete the whole game with this version. However, in 2018 I got my 486PC working again, and have been developing a MASSIVE improvement of the game, which will soon be release as Version 2.0. Once it is out, we will be starting on an improved version, which will include graphics, mouse & sound card support, etc. as Star Fleet II Deluxe. As for those of you who want an updated version of Star Fleet I, there is a Windows version of an improved Star Fleet I called Star Fleet Deluxe. It was almost complete (beta testing) when the lead programmer died in 2002, and we lost the source code. However, the manual is complete, and the game can be completed to the end with very few bugs. We plan to offer this to GOG after the release of SF II Version 2.0.

Time will tell, with hopefully more to follow (like Realms of Antiquity, Song of Iron, Selaco, the Phantasie series and other submissions that needlessly got put on the back burner).

Cheers for chiming in, and yes, please try to get Star Fleet I/Deluxe onto GoG as well.
