Dray2k: Ye alright, you're correct if we're only including Kickstarter as the only access option :>!
Fair enough about SC/SQ42, but this is what Kickstarter lists in its rankings.
"Ah Sh*t, here we go again..."

tfishell: btw the release date is wrong I think - "November 19, 2020" should be "November 19, 2019". But it looks like the store page still has some work to be done anyway, looking at the empty "System requirements". edit: I guess that was the EGS release date, but maybe GOG won't be going by that.
I think the date is correct. At least it is the same as Steam is showing.

During the Kickstarter I asked them if they would be releasing a DRM-Free version on GOG. They replied they were still considering their options, which to me sounded like an "not likely, but we don't want to lose backers".

I'm glad they are here, but I have lost much of my enthusiasm for the game. Still, I will be considering my options.

I feel the same way. I loved Shenmue I and II back in the day and was ecstatic when Shenmue III was announced. But by now I'm kinda weary of it what with all the Kickstarter/financing and development/publisher drama. But a DRM-free release is cool in any case and I'll definitely give it a chance at some point.
Are we gonna get 1 and 2 to company 3? I want to play the story from start to finish not miss out on 2 whole games.

Anime-BlackWolf: I hope you can convince SEGA/the publisher to release part 1 and 2 here, too. Only part 3 would be kind of useless...
While I have the emulated and steam versions I would legit buy them again, if they made it over here! But yeah, I did not see that coming at all, just as unexpected as prey! I wonder if AAA games finally making their way here is going to be a new trend?

Let's hope all so; thanks GoG/Sega <=Errr, Deep silver for bringing this here!

Seems illogical without the first two. So, I assume those two are on the way also.
This is so surprised! It's very rare to see Japanese games coming to our store because most likely Asians doesn't understand DRM things plus PC gaming market in Japan is not popular there

I absolutely loved this game last year, looking forward to being able to own it on PC.

Only I never got to play any of the previous games. And now I wonder if they could ever live up to the hype that surrounds them.
Great to see this coming here! Would love to have the first two Shenmue games as well, maybe some day!

Play them without expectation concerning hype, is really all I can say. It obviously won't guarantee you'll like them more but at least it will put you in a position to evaluate whether you actually enjoyed them without the shadow of "greatest ever!" or "nyah, these are antiques that were never any good to start with!" hanging over you.
