Great news. I have it on ps4 but it's worth it for fans who haven't played it yet. Some grindy aspects hurt the pacing. But it's still shenmue-y enough to make it cool. And if the grindy aspects annoy you too much, just change the difficulty level. The economy is kinda wacked out in terms of your time vs. money earned. Just dont waste your money on frivolous collectibles if you want the game's story to unfold relatively smoothly. It has some problems, but as a day 1 backer I'm happy we got it and happier I finished it.

An interesting release did not expect it coming here but after seeing Metro Exodus here anything is possible.

And we need Sega anyways---currently there os no way to get a full obsidian collecition on here without them joining the catalogue. (AlphaProcol was published by Sega and they still hold the rights for that masterpiece...)

The Steam version of AP doesn't require Steam to run, though.

Although the game's been pulled from sale everywhere due to music licenses running out for that Brayko fight song ("Turn up the radio")

Also, Ubi still has the 1st South Park, which was also an Obsidian title.
Frankly I was shocked that Dungeon Siege games showed up here. I thought Squeeenix forgot those exist.

well done GOG! I hope SEGA comes around to you sooner than later. (and still wish Deep Silver would bring us Dead Island DefEd, even if multiplayer is gutted)

btw the release date is wrong I think - "November 19, 2020" should be "November 19, 2019". But it looks like the store page still has some work to be done anyway, looking at the empty "System requirements". edit: I guess that was the EGS release date, but maybe GOG won't be going by that.

Truth be told, Shenmue does seem to be mostly appreciated because they have lots of soul. You also don't see many ambitioned games such as these anymore (Star Control 2 also did have this sort of "soul", though it was more carefully crafted but less ambitioned given its budget). As far as I know Yakuza is the evolution of this type of open world game. Some of the original team seem to be involved with those so if the Shenmue series is going to be released on here I am hopeful that at some point we will also see the Yakuza series being offered, even if it may take a few years.

At any case, seing this game to appear makes me think that we might also see Shenmue 1 and 2 on here at some point. I havent touched Shenmue 3 but I may buy it on GOG at some point.

Yeah, I don't see the need for this game alone being available on the store.

I don't even need the Arcade minigames of Shenmue 1 and 2. I pay like a buck just for that fun crate-carrying minigame with the goofy sounding guy from Shenmue 2. You don't see this sort of genuine sillyness in games anymore. I still remember the first time I played that minigame.

To be a little bit more serious, Shenmue 1 and 2 does seem to be a must have for the GOG store.

Technically, Star Citizen does hold this rank. Hopefully we will see a playable beta of Squadron 42 at some point.

I got a magazine-DVD that is DRM-free as well. Anyways, I´d love it to get it on here. (and would be very eager to pay extra for a bonus stuff collection)

That depends. If you are asking for the game with most funding that had a kickstarter campaign, then yes, SC+SQ42 wins. But it´s definitely not the game that got most funding through Kickstarter...

Color me interested, although I will wait for some deep discount (hoping it will be barely playable on an intel hd 620). However, I will never understand how someone could think it's a good idea not to conclude this as a trilogy, saying this as someone who still owns 1 and 2 on dreamcast.
