Prepare for a sci-fi colony sim that became an instant indie hit. RimWorld from Ludeon Studios is coming soon on GOG.COM. The game generates an abundance of stories by simulating factors like ecology, combat, climate, diplomacy, interpersonal relationships, art, medicine, trade, and much more.

heard somewhere though that the dev never offers discounts for this game though (never goes on sale).Is this true?

I imagine GOG and the devs still working some stuff out, maybe Galaxy-related, but want to let us know that it's coming, in case they can pick up some sales that woulda otherwise gone to Steam.

I've got Rimworld on steam and I'm enjoying it allot.
I'm curious how mods will work on gog (I'm used to the smoothness and comfort of steam workshop to keep all mods up to date and whatnot).

Finally!

Been waiting for this, looks like just my kind of game, but their complete lack of sales has prevented me from getting a cheap copy on Steam.

I'll actually pay retail here on GOG though.

Looks like I'm buying it again. The SendOwl DRM-free option isn't bad but it isn't GOG and has limited downloads.

You'll probably lose that effortless mod installation and updates of the workshop but I use the DRM-free version and it's not that big of a deal. But I also only use a couple mods so I could see it getting out of hand for people who use a lot. On the other hand I've heard a lot of mods are no longer updated so it all really depends on what mods and how many you use.
