Platoon Commander is a real-time Strategy game focused on the German advance toward Moscow in the fall and winter of 1941 – and it’s coming soon on GOG!

This game combines real-time tactical battles with a turn-based campaign map. You can make decisions about the pace of the advance, switch to defensive strategies when necessary, and manage your army, considering weather conditions and the passing of time.

Wishlist it now!
Amazing to see this here, hopefully we see Armored Brigade 2 make its way to GOG soon too.

Thanks!

Call me crazy, but I don't see myself having much fun with a game where I can either play as the worst monsters in history or the worst monsters in history.
Looks a lot like Headquarters. but as someone that loves strategy games I'll be picking it up.
I'd rather play Splatoon Commander, but that's because the squids are cute.

You know what are some cute strategy games I wish came to PC. Battalion Wars 1 and 2. They would benefit from a K&M controls so much.

To bad nobody ever makes one giant interconnecting map. I think RimWorld comes close. But few games really have that in depth vibe. Caves of Qud is so hideous to look at and illogical, thats out. Dwarf Fortress doesnt wanna bring the gui to gog for wth knows why.....slim pickens.....

Maybe The Last General will have what you're looking for when it's released.

Soviet Marshal Zhukov was a courageous field commander who exacted a terrible price on the German invaders as he ultimately drove them all the way back to Berlin some four years later. Sadly, and ironically, he was ill-served after that by the murderous psychopath in The Kremlin, whose jealous paranoia knew no bounds. Regular soldiers on both sides fought bravely out of patriotism. As usual, it was the politicians who sent them into battle for self-serving purposes.
There is a demo on Steam. GOG?

In my opinion, both the Soviet Union, Japanese, and United States committed terrible acts during World War II. The Soviets and Japanese were just as bad, if not worse, than Germany. With mass war crimes, they both committed.

The atomic bombs dropped by the United States killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, which was incredibly tragic. Additionally, we should not overlook the atrocities committed by Japan against the Chinese and other Asian countries they invaded. Everyone seems already know how bad Soviet were.

Just my opinion, war is never black and white. It's usually just F***ing horrible and people killing each other for corrupt or you can say evil politicians.

But like you said there are soldiers on both sides fought bravely out of patriotism.

That said looking forward to game after reading up on it some more.

Quoting this immature, mentally stunted bigotry of a message before it gets edited out.

wauw..... but it's slitherine.... i was planning on starting with 'the biggest mistake you can make if you're interested in wargaming.... but then i read your post

To say it plain and simple.... There is a lot of attention for alternate world war scenario's.... and i'm sure it has a lot to do with the admiration for Germany as a country and what it represented in symbolism and such

Back to my start

"You ever read that story about this buddhistic teacher that ran into a group of his students while walking through a garden"

No?

The short version. He explains to his students the difference between a student and a master
For his explanation, he uses a tree.

He tells them thats as a student you look at a tree and you see a tree
when you are more advanced you see this marvelous being, connected to the earth, responsible for maintaining its own sector etc etc
As a master, he then continues
you'r bakc to seeing the tree again
