Even if it doesn't look pretty here and now, technically Old World has been released already for a year (on Epic). Thankfully the ransom period is almost over.

ConsulCaesar: Even if it doesn't look pretty here and now, technically Old World has been released already for a year (on Epic). Thankfully the ransom period is almost over.
From what I've read, the DLC will be free fro those who buy or already got Old World in the first few days after the 1.0 release.

That makes sense, otherwise it'd have been really weird to announce free DLC before the launch of the game here instead of just bundling it.

Would be nice to play as or at least meet and get guidance from the famous Philosophers, Engineers and similar civic people that shaped the European world as we know it.

Of course it won't be unlimited freely available. That would not make sense from a business standpoint. Also the articles. I've read does not distinguish between the stores regarding the free DLCs.
