Ooh, a game inspired by Link to the Past. Tempting.
Wishlisted.
Definitely interested. :)
Looks like a Zelda-like rather than an RPG, but I'll wishlist it.

(Also, does the game not show how much health you have, or what weapon you have equipped (and any ammo or magic meter)?)
On one hand, it looks nice and fun.

On the other hand, it has waaay too many stuff borrowed from Link's Awakening (and other 2D Zeldas as well); and Nintendo isn't exactly friendly against such practices.

Nintendo can't do a thing about it. The Great Giana Sisters was one of the few games that succumbed to legal pressure, on account of the levels being nearly identical to Super Mario Brothers. Having similar gameplay isn't enough, it has to be a duplication.

Even though this looks pretty shamelessly styled after the 2D Zeldas, it's entirely legal, Nintendo are only the copyright gestapo when someone uses their IP's without permission or if a game is literally stealing content. Something being a bit similar isn't the same thing, if it was, Genshin Impact would have been taken down for all the bits that are blatantly copied from Breath of the Wild.

I assumed so, of course. It's just that lots of visual elements are definitely copy-pasted from 2D Zeldas, so much that it might raise some eyebrows :)

Although it definitely looks like a clone, I also don't think Nintendo would take action. I mentioned Nintendo merely to emphasize the extreme visual Zelda-ness of this game.

I'm all for supporting indie devs (especially) and this game could definitely be something I would buy and play among others. It's just that it crosses a line of originality I personally like seeing in games.

Nevertheless, I hope it's a good game and people enjoy it. And if I read some good reviews I will be even more motivated to buy it.

Do you know "The Minish Cap", that Zelda title for the GBA? Saying inspired seems an euphemism, at least artistically they look the same.

Erm, no, I mean Link the the Past, the SNES game. Complete with the rising and falling pegs, the use of the detailed world map, and the general art style (Minish Cap was more cartoony, and its lines were not as well defined).

As for 'inspired', it was not intended as a euphemism. There are obvious differences in the assets, such as the monochromatic rising-and-falling blocks.
Visuals look good. Unlike the crap that passes for "pixel art" nowadays. Obviously a lot of work went into this. As for similarities the visuals look similar to Shining Force, and the gameplay similar to Oasis. Heck it's similar to a lot of games from the time. Similarities mean nothing.
