Oh, thought I was alone in this. Everybody else seemed to love MW4, and most often I hear people talk about MW2, MW3 was always my favorite as well, and I really disliked 4.

I'll pick this up as soon as it hits GOG, been very close to picking it up on EGS a few times, but I'm happy I waited now.

Vital question: will the GOG version have Crossplay with the EGS version and Steam version? Or will it not?

Also, will the GOG version be having Galaxy Achievements like how the Steam version has Steam Achievements?

i did enjoy the first few missions, certainly in conjunction with battletech and no prior mechwarrior experiences outside the one or two forgotten try-outs of earlier mech games. The whole sweeping around for enemies, the dueling with another mech without loosing either ground or direction is quite amazing... and it comes with DLSS!

Am excited.

This news came just in time. I was actually about to buy this on Epic.

Only played the first two Mechwarriors. Will give this one a try.

A HOT mess at that. I've been a fan of the original Battletech game that MechWarrior is based off of. I can tell you that intellectual property problems has plagued the entirety of the BTech IP for years. There's a number of really good videos on youtube about it, but the TL;DR of it all i that the original makers of the Battletech table top game, FASA, who then licensed art assets from the makers of the anime Macross. BTech got big, so when the company behind Macross was sold the new IP holders decided to absolutely fleece FASA for all they could. And even beyond that FASA themselves made a few bad decided themselves in terms of licensing out stuff so that the entire brand is kind of a mess to this day.

Beyond all of that though is that I love that game, and even though it's got some 'warts' I like it enough to pick it up here on my favorite game store.
