Get ready to explore a dark game inspired by the works of Lovecraft, Giger, and Beksiński.
Genre: Action and adventure
Oh, so it IS coming here after all.
Wonder if has been planned all along or is the result of the (justified) backlash about offering only a censored version.

Anyway, geat news for anyone interested.

And perhaps because of lower sales due to the same reason, yeah, I'd expect that much :P.
Lots of refunds on the Mild edition expected...

Glad it's coming!
Awesome, I will buy this. I do hope they give free upgrades or refunds for those that bought the M version and really wanted this one. I almost gave in and bought the M but hadn't yet.
Sweet, I'll it when Covid travel restrictions are lifted and I can go someplace where it isn't geolocked. ;)
There is also a page for Lust for Darkness (https://www.gog.com/game/lust_for_darkness), which is great, but there are none for Prologue and Scarlet. I really hope they are coming here as well, as they are more short games in between Darkness and Beyond, than just demos.
Isn't this already here? I assumed "M edition" meant mature? This is definitely a newspost that needed MORE INFO, gog staff writers.

M edition would probably place high in competition for the most misleading title in gaming history. You have to read the game page to find out that official rating goes Mature (16+) < Adult (18+). They first released Adult version (named simply "Lust from beyond"), then toned it down so they could get the mature rating and wider audience, and called it mature.

The backlash most likely did it, or else they'd release on the same date.

Just look at Mary skelter 2 for instance, backlash happens, and suddenly Ghostlight can put back the mini-game that were falsely claimed to have been removed.
Wow!, well done GOG. That says a lot about a company that listens to its users and consumers. It will be a sure purchase from me as soon as this version is re-released on the platform. On the wish list for now. Thank you!

Exactly the example I thought of.

And, as with that one, it is now imo worth buying this uncensored release whereas the censored release was an easy pass.

This shows how effective voting with your wallet is. sadly, there are still too many NPC that will blindly buy or excuse such practices.

I just see it as saving money if they won't release the version I'm interested in. But for anime titles I'm very picky seeing as I also don't like the Westernization aspect.
