Bohemian rhapsody.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now to receive the Treasure Map DLC as a pre-order bonus.
Your sword is vengeance. Your sword is destiny. Your sword is all you have left.
The civil war that ravages medieval Bohemia took everything from you and now a life in the service of a local lord seems the only available path. But only momentarily, because this dynamic open world is packed with role-playing opportunities and challenges, opening up into a gut-wrenching narrative involving historical characters of the era.

NOTE: The DRM-free version of the game will be released on GOG.com on February 27, due to the publisher's decision.

Zoidberg: What decision? The one where they want GOGers' money, opening the preorders, but only allowing them to play the game two full weeks after everyone on Steam? Nice Trump move.

What the fuck?!

This is why GOG shouldn't have gone the route to open their store to such lousy publishers. Take care of what and who you have as an audience instead of prostituting everyone. :/

Seriously? A sexist joke as an argument?

Zoidberg: Yes, exactly. They treat you like subpar clients. Accepting it as is without questionning is defeating... but so american after all.

mystral: Or maybe we accept it both because we have little choice in the matter and because we realize it's actually a good thing these days to get games later what with how buggy most games are at release.

Speaking strictly for myself, I accept it because I'm a mature adult and I have plenty of other things to do while waiting to see if this game is worth buying. Only kids pitch tantrums when they don't get what they want immediately...
Very "mature" of you to call my reaction childish without even countering the point in it.

This seems like something that deserves a "full page ad" on the home page, similar to System Shock 2 and No Man's Sky. Only downside is shoving "regular" window for other games (currently rotating Tangledeep, Sherlock Holmes, etc.) downward, giving them less likelihood to be seen.
Watching this closely, as a reenactor, fencing geek, with 35kg of armour donned

But preorder?

No way. I can wait no roblem.

I used to do reenactment many years back, my sister still dabble though

I never did or liked reenactment but was a sword fencer (Langes Messer and Langes Schwert) and trainer for some years, which is why I followed the development of this game somewhat.

I just hope that this is just the first of many games with a proper sword fighting system.

It looks interesting. A bit like the myth that is bannerlord was supposed to be. So am a bit torn, might just wait and see what the reviews are like as often these new games take years to get playable, NMS for instance.
Cool that this game will come to gog!

Though I'm not sure what to think of the 2 week "delay" for the drm-free version. I mean, the devs basically tell us "Hey, we think drm is bad, but let's first make sure for 2 weeks, that it really doesn't get pirated and people will actually buy the game on Steam *wink*.

I don't have that much time these days to play video games all the times, so I usually buy games late on sale and don't miss out on anything really. So I really would not care about it releasing 2 weeks later, it just feels so bad!

If you come at me and ask: Would you like to see fRed Dead Redemption 2 on GOG ? (if it releases 1 month after steam (that get's released probably 1 year after consoles...)) I'm not sure what my answer would be.

Yes, I like to play the game without any bs attached to it, no I don't want feel like a 2nd class citizen, because the developers think DRM is actually useful and great, but they want to make some additional money with a few gog sales.

TT_TT_TT_TT: nice release!
Regarding their 14 day release shift for the GOG version... - well i see the positive side of it - we get hopefully a better polished release/first patches already and they wont be able to blame potentially bad sale figures on a drm free release
Agreed, so long as they don't pull the "we have to updated the drm free version much later than the drm version, or maybe not at all" thing that some publisers seem inclined toward.

But yeah presuming they don't do that I'd generally count it as a win also.
If nothing else we're gaining ground at least, 14 days is much better than 14 months ;)

Enebias: I definitely want this one, the only "big" game coming this year I am interested in along Ready or Not.
Cannot afford it now, but at least that would give me time to evaluate the performance... I see that the requirements are higher than those of The Witcher 3, yet judging by the graphics it seem KCD would need less horsepower. It looks stunning, mind me, yet not as superdetailed as TW3. I wonder how my GTX770 would run it.
Biomutant is due out this year as well, and will hopefully launch here, and I'm still waiting for Tokyo Xanadu eX+ to arrive since Aksys said (and I'm sure Falcom insisted) they were bringing it to GOG.

Pretty sure X4, Darksiders III, and Metro Exodus are going to make us wait though...
I'll be definitely getting this whenever I get a new laptop/PC that's able to play it. Happy to see the game on GOG!

I don't know about Darksiders, THQ Nordic has been pretty good about releasing here on release day (or close to it).
Badass.
Not really a fan of the 'realistic' approach. I'm gonna keep waiting for Bannerlord... someday.... someday....

This is a beyond stupid post... and worse you are posting the same shit on Steam to the developer. Way to give them a reason not to bring more games here and with posting shit like this I can't blame them.

IMO this game looks awful and mind-numbingly boring. I don't see how it could possibly be worth $59.99 USD.

But I'm glad it's on GOG solely because it helps to set the precedent that DRM doesn't do jack to reduce piracy and therefore all publishers should put their new games DRM-free on GOG.
