Bohemian rhapsody.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now available for pre-order, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now to receive the Treasure Map DLC as a pre-order bonus.
Your sword is vengeance. Your sword is destiny. Your sword is all you have left.
The civil war that ravages medieval Bohemia took everything from you and now a life in the service of a local lord seems the only available path. But only momentarily, because this dynamic open world is packed with role-playing opportunities and challenges, opening up into a gut-wrenching narrative involving historical characters of the era.

NOTE: The DRM-free version of the game will be released on GOG.com on February 27, due to the publisher's decision.

Starmaker: Someone on the interwebs wrote they were reported for the crime of picking a lock by their lockpicking trainer because the time allotted for the minigame expired during their attempt. Delightful.
They'll get rid of the bugs eventually (well, most of them), but they won't get rid of all the gamified misogyny.

More apparent to me was the back-slapping laddishness revolving around bedding women. I'm pursuing a love story over here, while over there bedding a noble and having one-night stands. That's in addition to my Troubadour perk which makes me even more irresistible to women and lets me use the "bathwenches" for free, which ties into a key mechanic of keeping yourself clean and patched up. It also means I get the Alpha Male buff (+2 to Charisma) because I've been satisfied and apparently it shows. It literally says that. The game's Codex even feels the need to describe the ideal woman of the time: "a thin, pale woman with long blonde hair, small rounded breasts, relatively narrow hips and a narrow waist".
I was kind of hoping the CEO's shit hadn't trickled into this game, but apparently it looms throughout the work and, hilariously, has the "historical accuracy" badge tacked on every brazen hijink. Unless the main character marries his noblewench at age 12 with shaven forehead, I call bullshit on their entire historical accuracy shtick. It's nothing but an MRA fantasy of medieval Europe codified in conventional misogynist game mechanics and extrinsic reward schemes. Would have been so much more honest if Warhorse had just said so.

But, hey, they removed the potatoes.

Could've just, I don't know, not slept with all those women? Reminds me of the time Polygon lambasted Tropico 5 for allowing a brutal dictator playstyle when there was the equally valid option to be benevolent. The writer chose to murder civilians in their beds and then complain. I do have to wonder about this growing mindset of refusing to take responsibility for your own actions and blaming the game for allowing you to take said actions.

As for accuracy, Kingdom Come has over a dozen historians listed in the credits. Eurogamer has one, unnamed, whose only evidence was feelings. I know which party I'm trusting.

> F5 F5 F5
> still on GOG

...How is this worse than the Witcher games? At least the main character of Kingdom Come has to invest some effort into being fuckable. And fwiw, all the casual sex does go against the beloved neo-Nazi myth of voluntarily monogamous accessorized wombs cranking out purebred babbies for the glory of the master race, so there's that.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: a crapsack setting where women are treated like shit is vastly less misogynist, as an IRL work of art, than a biowarian "classic fantasy" shut-your-brain-off obvious misanthropic nightmare helmed by gaideresque manbabies and "strong wymyn". The former is >implied "hey, they live in shit, they abuse women, mmmmmaybe don't be like that", the latter is literal MRA propaganda.

Wit, so you don't think women, who weren't even viewed as viable people in the eyes of the law at the time, woulsdn't have been oppressed, sexually abused and objectified in this time period? Unless a woman was a noble, she may as well have been a horse or a cart. Men owned women little less than they owned property. But hey, misogynist, yo. Most people before the 1920s were misogynists, including the women. It wasn't until people started fighting for women's rights that others stood up and took notice. Hell, in the 1960's it was still largely a man's world. Even today there are still undertones of it.
Website for the soundtrack ($9.99): http://www.kcdsoundtrack.com/ (wonder if it will show up on GOG)

Also, "Kingdom Come: Deliverance sold 1 million copies all platforms combined" ,

I asked this in the Kingdom Come forum but this may have been the better place to ask so here it goes: does anyone know if we’ll be able to preload the game ahead of time? I already pre-ordered at GOG, and am hoping preloading the game is an option so that I’ll be able to play immediately when it officially releases next week. Thanks in advance.

Wait wait wait, are you telling me facts don't care about my feelings?
I used to be an adventurer like you. But then I took an arrow to my soggy knees.

You are saying like men were treated any better.

Not sure your reading comprehension is up to speed, lad.

– I explicitly argued for showing the full extent of the oppression, sexual abuse and objectification,
– which would immeasurably enhance the historical accuracy and educative worth of this game,
– yet diminish the pubertal joy and pride the game explicitly conveys for partaking in said oppression.
– I also demonstrated that the game communicates misogyny in its game mechanics and reward schemes
– i.e. gamifies the oppression, sexual abuse and objectification (remember slave tetris?)
– which is in no way necessitated or explained by the developer's false historical accuracy shtick and
– to a large degree ("Alpha Male achievement" etc.) plainly constitutes the insertion of the political world view of the MRAs

We've been assured in no uncertain terms that the CEO will not pull off his alt-right shit with this game. I was ready to believe that. But it turned out to be one big heap of lies.

Maybe I missed that tone of your post. I will say however that men greatly took pleasure in oppressing women. Not sure how you portray that accurately, while also trying to beat you over the head with "this was a very bad thing." It's not like men were crying about how bad they were treating the women, it was a matter of course and a way of life. I think the achievement system and perks actually play into that. It gives you a reason to be a bastard where otherwise you probably wouldn't.

As far as political views go, I don't care one way or the other. Labels and garbage like isolating people into political parties divides people, not unifies them. I don't want to be divisive.

Even if you haven't lernd2history, the sole fact that this game''s storyline can't support a female character should clear up the matter.

The sole fact that you see game having only one storyline as some agenda against women makes your argument invalid.
