(A) Video doesn't work.
(B) Looks good except "procedurally generated" needs a lot of qualifiers and is generally quite a negative.
Sometimes I have a feeling, that the game is a must-buy just from looking at the screenshots.

I have the very feeling with this title, and trailer only strenghtened it. Love it!
I can't help being reminded of Sea of Thieves judging by the screenshots. It looks like a little brother or sister or sisterly brother or brotherly sister or something totally different or in-between? Whatever hope this does live up to something more than being 'inspired by' - as in: fun to play, great to control, varied tasks, that sort of thing. ;-)
Pirates have got to be the most overdone concept in gaming.
Looks quite good. Would have picked this up, into the missed sale wish list.
Also, what is it with games now and “fishing”, I mean I could go cannons out a whoring and rum’ing, or sit in the cold and damp in case I get a bite from some sewage drenched icky food?

Let’s hope this one isn’t some mindless mobile rubbish like Tempest (although from the screenshots it does have some of that, quests get some wood!).

Erm,

Zombies
Roguelites
Procedural
Crafting
Call of duty
Clients

There is a whole list of things more overdone in gaming.

Have you heard of zombies? Or, even more, soldiers?

Looks like we might play Pirates! Gold instead and be better off.
Thank GoG!
Been bugging the poor devs over this for ages

What's wrong with the 2004 remake? I found it purely additive over '87 Gold (even though I played the heck out of the 87 version).
Looks good. I will wait for reports if that "procedurally generated world" works well. But as the game does not have a Linux version I have time to wait for a high discount anyway.

Zombies are quite a generic concept though, while pirates are always depicted in the same cliche childish way (black sails, skull & crossbones, sabres etc).

Video doesn't work for me either, but then again, it hasn't for a few months now.

What caught my eye though was this part of the
"Network: Version 11"
"DirectX: Broadband Internet connection"

..? Reversed order?
Also, it says Singleplayer.. Why the need for internet connection then?
Please don't tell me it's DRM... ...

Otherwise, looks like it could be great. Wishlisted..for now.
Just read on Steam it got full controller support, keyboard works, but no freaking mouse input? Are you kidding me or what?

This game is dead for me then. No full support for native input no money. Congratulations, developers and thanks for helping me save some money. :-)

Never said something is, it's perfectly fine. I do like the aesthetics of Gold more, though. The remake seems a bit too cartoonish for me, and Gold just feels more "real" and immersive.
