TheBigCore: The Soviet flag does have red in it (as well as the flags of both the Peoples Republic of China and the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea).

WinterSnowfall: Flags are meant to beat in the wind, high up. The reality at ground level is a very different one.
Well said.

Linko64: No idea how it's a rip-off of Dusk? There's no cult?
That's just what they want you to think. Open your eyes, brother! ;)

Oh look, it's fifty shades of brown the game. I like this whole monochromatic depressing look.
This looks awesome. I can't wait to play it.

Flushable toilets and destructible light bulbs.
Wishlisted.

Looks ok, another for the wish list of lost sales.
Is HROT an acronym? Will it have a Map Editor?

fronzelneekburm: It has a sickle as a melee weapon, for starters. :P

BTW, contrary to popular opinion, Blood 2 is preddy gud. Unfortunately, it came out around the same time as Unreal and Half-Life, so it went largely ignored and nowadays you have to put a tiny bit of effort into it to get it running properly, so it doesn't get proper reappraisal by people who aren't complete morons. If this exact same thing came out today as a retro shooter, people would lap it up and love it!

Linko64: the first episode is great, looking forward to further episodes. Just don't fuck with the JCB.

fronzelneekburm: Thanks for mentioning the first episode. Wouldn't have realised there is a demo available otherwise.
I disagree but respect the hustle, just remake the damn thing

ped7g: wait, you didn't play Quake 1? :D ... maybe you are too young for that... it's ok. You can still get it on GOG along HROT... :D

Breja: Oh, please. Compared to this Quake has a vibrant, lush colour pallet and looks like it's running on Unreal Engine 4.
Quake running on Unreal? Do you really believe yourself clever insulting Carmack like that?
Day 1 purchase, I don't care about palette and to be honest it looks exactly like Quake 1. This game is the closest thing to Chasm: The Rift but with a touch of You Are Empty.
Does 0:42 trigger an Easter Egg? (portal to another dimension, that of Brothers & Sisters)

You´re way off buddy, no ripoff here.

Whole aesthetic is inspired by communism this author has lived through & early 3D FPS games (Quake).
Sickle AND hammer is a symbol of a Communist party, you can kiss picture of Gustav Husák (politician of that era) + many other things and tidbits from that era.
It´s a critique (satire) of a sort, but served in an enjoyable way.

GOG - thank you, I am gonna buy it immediately once it´s released.

Huh? I just said that Quake looks way better than this game. It would take some truly special mental gymnastics to take "your 25 year old game still looks cutting edge compared to this modern attempt at emulating it" as an insult.
