What an ugly horse, what they did to him...
Maybe some day Chasm - The Rift will come here, maybe some time after full release of HROT, hopefully...
I own this one already on that other big game store. This is a fun one. Very happy to see that it will be available here.

Breja: Well, I've got the hand them this - I don't think I've ever before seen a game that looked like it was entirely made out of used toilet paper.
wait, you didn't play Quake 1? :D ... maybe you are too young for that... it's ok. You can still get it on GOG along HROT... :D

Oh, please. Compared to this Quake has a vibrant, lush colour pallet and looks like it's running on Unreal Engine 4.

Unlikely. I remember someone on this forum (Cadaver747 IIRC) telling me they asked the rights holder and they apparently had no interest in re-releasing the game. So for all intents and purposes, you can just consider it abandonware.

fronzelneekburm: Looks like a shameless Dusk rip-off and has a stupid title to boot (HROT sounds like someone sneezing).

Sadly, it still looks more interesting than 99% of the stuff released nowadays, so I guess I'll keep an eye on it.
No idea how it's a rip-off of Dusk? There's no cult? The maps aren't even close in terms of principle design?

I get being jaded and negative is in vogue, but come on lol, they don't even play the same. By your logic, every fast-paced FPS would be a rip-off for Quake lol. Though given Blood 2 is your display picture, I think you might just not like 3D FPS after what happened to Blood

the first episode is great, looking forward to further episodes. Just don't fuck with the JCB.

its not, though it does contain some nods to it, and Jefe / New Blood are fans of HROT.

Why, yes, that is the very color of communism! (not red, like the Americans would like you to think)
I was attracted by the "liminal" and abstract locations, looking forward to it as a nice add to the catalogue.
Very Quakey. Tried the demo on steam and it stepped on me, so maybe not for me. But fans should love it.

Also, any trailer where the protagonist ends up ran over by the metro is good trailer. :P (dark humour inside)

It has a sickle as a melee weapon, for starters. :P

BTW, contrary to popular opinion, Blood 2 is preddy gud. Unfortunately, it came out around the same time as Unreal and Half-Life, so it went largely ignored and nowadays you have to put a tiny bit of effort into it to get it running properly, so it doesn't get proper reappraisal by people who aren't complete morons. If this exact same thing came out today as a retro shooter, people would lap it up and love it!

Thanks for mentioning the first episode. Wouldn't have realised there is a demo available otherwise.

The Soviet flag does have red in it (as well as the flags of both the Peoples Republic of China and the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea).
Looks awful to be honest.

It was decent but a far cry from what Blood 1 was. If Blood is a 10/10, Blood 2 is like 6.5/10 to me. And don't forget the mention the horrible atrocity that was the Nightmare Levels.

Flags are meant to flutter in the wind, high up. The reality at ground level is a very different one.
