Little update from 30th November, via Twitter:

Today we're bringing you a sneak peak of our interpretation of the Minecrawler.

Generally, we are very pleased to share that the development of the Gothic Remake is progressing on all fronts. We have assembled a team of over 35 specialized developers at our Barcelona office and are working with several contractors and outsources in addition. Gothic may be more than 20 years old, but the scope of this game cannot be underestimated."
The developer, Alkimia Interactive is still looking for people to fill several open positions at the Barcelona office:

Gothic Reloaded Mod (
Wishlist entry) I noticed
this thread on the official Gothic Reloaded Mod forum.
OP (a fellow GoG enthusiast it looks like) is asking if the devs had any interest to host/distribute the finished mod on GoG as well, as is already the case with
The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos, which releases next Friday, I believe.
Judging from the main dev's replies, they see the definite potential in a GoG release (wider reach, more exposure, also boosting the sales of the required base game in the process, which THQNordic wouldn't mind at all, I assume) but are unsure about the additional effort/maintenance a GoG build/version of the mod would entail.
OP already suggested to ask
The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos devs about the technical side of things (since they're about to release a Gothic mod/total conversion on GoG) and especially about how they ended up on GoG in the first place, but maybe someone from GoG's BizDev department could try to get in contact with and directly clarify things with them as well?
The person to contact would be one Pierre Beckmann (going by the handle "ThielHater").
The discontinued guest book on the Gothic Reloaded Mod website (
https://www.gothic-reloaded-mod.de/?page=guestbook) contains several email addresses (including one with his real name on a well-known and long running email service starting with "y") under which he most probably still can be reached.
