Fallen Aces, a crime FPS straight outta comic book, is coming soon on GOG!

With an old-school comic look and action being set in the 90s, Fallen Aces presents the story of the A.C.E.S., guardians of Switchblade City – all fully hand drawn by Trey Powell. Non-linear level design, live orchestral OST and language of the gangster period era; a perfect set for a crime noir saga!

Get ready to explore the grim mysteries of Switchblade City!
A (mostly?) first-person brawler in the GZDoom engine? Interesting.
I was looking forward for this :)

I love the look of this, it will be a day one purchase. Aside from the fact that it reminds me of the XIII game, the visual style even looks closer to the XIII comics.
This looks awesome.

I will buy if it is reasonably priced and of a reasonable length and if it also has the same Achievement features on GOG as it will have anywhere else.
Oh, by looking at the gameplay video, I also had a nostalgic feel of different games like XIII, Kingpin: Life of Crime, Mob Enforcer and others. ^_^

Great, it goes to wishlist.
Wishlisted!

From what I understand on Twitter, the game originally started life as a GZDoom-based project, but after the devs joined New Blood Interactive, the game became Unity-based.

Curious. Definitely still gives me GZDoom vibes with its chunky 3D level geometry and the way its shadows look.

Plays like a more advanced version of that too, with bottles you use for hitting first and stabbing later for instance.
This looks great!
Right, let's watch this trailer.

Game, you have 1:37 to impress me.

...

Ok, wishlisted.
Glad seeing these visual novel-style sprite-based FPS' in the vein of Outlaws make a bit of a return lately, hope Chains of Fury (Wishlist entry) gets a release here too, once it's finished.
