Assemble a party, explore the dungeon, fight your way through hordes of monsters, and defeat the Demon Lord – Demon Lord Reincarnation is coming soon to GOG.

In this dungeon crawler with stylish visuals and atmospheric music, you’ll assemble a party of four heroes from 20+ character types, survive through brutal turn-based battles, unlock new skills in the heat of the battle, find safe spots to regain your strength and make sure the monsters won't get a drop on you, and then defeat Leinad to continue the story through his perspective and escape the dungeon while commanding an army of monsters.

Make sure to wishlist this incredible adventure so you won’t miss its release or any special offer!
Oh nice ^^
And with a Linux Build!
Wishlisted!
Looks like a Wizardry-like to me, but it looks like there's no character levels? (Well, no sign of it in the screenshots, although one has a message about a Strength increase.)

Also, from the description, after you beat the main boss, it sounds like it might become a bit like Wizardry 4?

Definitely a wishlist for me.

Come again? No, that looks just like an old-school dungeon crawler.
The menus and text in this game remind me of Wizardry: Llylgamyn Saga and Wizardry: New Age of Llylgamyn, both by Soliton Soft, and both for the PSX (with Llylgamyn Saga also appearing on Sega Saturn). So, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some Wizardry influence here. (Worth noting that New Age of Llylgamyn includes Wizardry 4.)

On the other hand, the lack of any displayed level stat, and the "Unlock new skills in the heat of the battle", screams SaGa to me.

Just watched the trailer. Two other observations:
* Trapped chests exist. (Screams Wizardry to me!)
* The "wants to try something new" line that appears in a battle, followed by the character casting a spell (that, I'm guessing, is one the character didn't previously know) seems to indicate that there's technique sparking in this game. (Screams SaGa to me!)

So, perhaps this game is a bit of a Wizardry/SaGa hybrid.

Looks like I'll be getting this game when it releases.

Hello!

I am not so sure about this one... I personally did not enjoy "Paper Sorcerer" that much. And the art style in the screenshots look a little bit off to me. I do not mind the monochrome aesthetic--it worked well in "Return of the ObraDinn".

However, here it gives me the impression of not beeing black & white art by design but rather initially a more detailed colored design, which then has been color-downscaled (converted) to only black & white loosing many details in the process.

Also, I wood like to see a little bit more animation in the character 'spritework' during battles instead of merely shifting their position.

Maybe I am somewhat disappointed, because I was eager to see a sequel to the developer's former game "Ringlorn Saga", which I recommend to check out.

On a side note, congratulation Graverobber Foundation for continuing to self-publish your games here on GOG.COM.

Kind regards,
foxgog
Wow, one of the worst art styles I ever saw.

Next thing you'll tell me that Tomb Raider isn't a 2D sidescroller.

I beg to differ. I think they are positively gorgeous, in a very retro way. Simple, but functional.

I guess you never owned a Speccy back in the day ?...
"Storage: 666 MB of available space"
Hmm, nice touch.

The description is rather cryptic, I hope it will be expanded once game is released.
If I understand correctly, the enemies are not roaming dungeon, but there is a random chance of encounter to be triggered, like in Bards Tale?
Would be also nice to know if it will contain puzzles, or if it will be fully combat oriented.
Still it looks interesting.

If you take a closer look at the faces of the heroes, you will notice features that look quite anime-like (especially fighter and the spear and shield welding one with "rabbit ears"). Luckly those are not too invasive.

There's a couple gameplay videos from the developer on youtube.

It does appear to be like Bard's Tale in the respect you mention.

With that said, there are some differences that I can see from the gameplay video, like how stat growth and skill learning is similar to how the SaGa series handles it, the fact that you can press a button to rest and recover strength outside of combat (at least that's what it looks like), and the fact that dead characters appear to disappear entirely from the party (so no resurrection, apparently).

Interesting, thank you for reply.

GOG.com: Coming soon: Demon Lord Reincarnation
This looks amazing.
The only minor "gripe" I have with it, is the name of the Demon Lord.
Makes me wanna ask the dev(s): "who's Daniel? And what has he done to you?"
Great designs for both monsters and heroes, the dungeon looks a bit too samey but we'll see
